I don't know the names of the stores, but there's a couple of bookstores in Little Tokyo in LA, California that sells a lot of Ayu stuff.
I'll have to find the information for the stores though.

The best place to go is to take a cab to a mall in Markham - it's called Pacific Mall and is located at 4300 steeles east. they have a site too!

it's a very long trip but well worth it. there's quite a few music stores in here that sell legit music - my personal favorite store to go to is Music Headquarters, near the elevators.

if you have the time there's another store called kikiwai in chinatown , they don't sell music but they have a lot of anime related merchandise.

I have been to Tomodachi and it is worth making a note: the store does not sell legit avex releases, but Son May CDs which aren't the real thing. I will never forget the sour face the owner made when i declined to buy cds after realizing they were fake.

They don't sell music? The owner told me once that they did...unless you have to order them first. But I know they sell J-Pop CDs and DVDs...but bootlegs from SonMay and Ever Anime. Just look at their website

are you sure they are legit because i sometimes go there and i mean its pacific mall. you cant really trust anything there can never tell if the good looking packaged ones are legit or not. and this place called kikiwai where is that close to? never heard of it before.

Music Headquarters and a couple other stores sell the legit things. As long as you see AVEX or AXEV on the package somewhere it's legit. you are more likely to find pirated anime and movies than pirated music there. i have even seen older, legit, ayu vcds at some of these stores. take the time to read the package before you buy.

If i am not mistaken, kikiwai is in chinatown centre in spadina chinatown. it's buried in the back of the mall somewhere. they used to have another location on steeles around 20 min from pacific mall but it closed down.

thanks for the info. havent heard of music hq before i should check it out sometime. how much does it cost for ayu stuff because i dont want to get my hopes up then find out that its extremely overpriced.

*tries to remember* i don't think any more than what yesasia charges for overseas stuff. i don't remember the price exactly but i would expect for an album to go between 20-25 .... it's right beside the elevators.
