Why distinguish between a group and a solo artist? No offense. People never did that when Ayu was the top seller in previous years Or when Koda Kumi was the top-selling artist last year and the year before, people didn't have to mention the top-selling group.

Because some people will write... "oh, but mr. children is a group...groups are different then solo singers...im talking about solo singers!!" (or something to that extent. So in order to avoid that, I distinguished it for these people.)

You forgot they'd also say "oh, but we're talking about solo, female artists! Ken Hirai's best album doesn't count. Kobukuro's best album doesn't count. 4 hot wave was the top-selling solo female single of the year not featuring a fictional character as the artist's name. Koda Kumi is the bessst!" Haha!

I did forget that. In fact people here did say that last year, before ULTRA BLUE passed (m)u.
