Actually, I've only listened both songs once, because I don't want to overplay them before my copy of the single arrives.

But after listening to them once, I could say that yes, I love this single. While glitter is a cheerful, fresh and nice summer song, fated brings a nice contrast being a beautiful, touching and emotional song. I think that when I listen to them more, they will grow on me even more. Great job, Ayu! Best single in a while.

i agree with ~fanmail~.
it's a bit meh.
i prefer glitter, and i've only listened to fated about 5 times so far. :/
i want a rock song next!
like, a mixture of End of the world and GAME. <33

yep! love them both very much! glitter is the best summer song since independent, and fated just amazing! after hundreds of songs she wrote, she still has the magic to write a poetic lyric!

It's okay but not the best. The way I've come to see it is just that Ayu has finally grown up

She has matured and I kinda liked the old feel to her music, I think some childnessness (or innocence maybe? Who knows xD) has gone, she is more confident now, strong, and she's getting all sexy and this and that xD I dunno, I haven't found her new stuff to be so amazing, but hey, I'm pretty open minded so I can't wait to see what this new Ayu era will bring.

I like this single a lot.

glitter is awesome. It is similar to BLUE BIRD, but I don't really mind. :| I guess I'm just a sucker for summer pop songs...

fated is good, too, although it took a few listens. The way it starts and ends is... interesting, heh.

The covers aren't bad, either.

i totally agree, i luv glitter and i like fated. the covers are amazing!!! best summer single since inspire. and the best overall single since stepyou?is this love? im a sucker for rock songs but it doesn't even have that and i still luv it. i luuuuuuuuuuv this single, glitter is soooo much better than blue bird or fairyland, although i liked fairyland better than blue bird

LOL!!! i think i'm gonna outplay that song... and soon fated... then take a long break and listen to her older songs then go back to them and fall in love with them all over again. that's what happens with every ayu song... for me, that is, hahahaha.

I love "glitter!" fated is alright, I mean, it's pretty and all, but I've never been big on ballads unless I feel, I don't know, depressed or something.

But "glitter" definitely gives me that summery feel!

I like the songs, but I have to get used to the PV for glitter. It doesn't match the concepts Ayumi places in her other videos...hmm...I hope Fated has a better PV...

I've been having relistens to the single today and ... :

"glitter" - still "meh!", but it does sound like a mix of "BLUE BIRD" and "fairyland", and I love "fairyland" =\ Also, the beginning sounds like something from her earlier work =\
"fated" - it's ... decent I'll admit it. But, again, it's nothing new and it's a bit boring =\ It has grown on me a TEENY TINY bit though =x

I think this single is possibly going to become one of my Ayu top singles. Why? Firstly, it has a fantastic cover! Secondly, I really like both of the songs. I think they're both really refreshing sounding, especially glitter. I wasn't a particularly big fan of her summer releases for both fairyland and BLUE BIRD, but I have to say glitter nailed it this summer for me. I think it sounds fantastic and with that instrumental bridge, it sealed this song as one of the best summer songs! Though fairyland has that instrumental bridge, that didn't come off as strong as glitter. fated just sounds excellent, and I think with the PV, it'll even be better! I really really like this particular single, and I thought that the PV for glitter and the CMs reinforced that.
