Thoughts on 'glitter' PV

For those who are disappointed with the directing, I must say that Hong Kong do not have many (or any) good directors. This is probably why they are producing fewer and fewer films each year and we are talking about like around 200+ per year 10 years ago and like 15-20 or fewer per year at present time.

I think the PV is just nice, the good thing is that I didn't expect it to be like this, so I was surpirsed, but its different than the other PVs Ayu has done so far, and it isn't bad at all.And I am guessing fated will be even better.

I don't know how people can say that the music doesn't fit with it? I think it does :S

She's tried something different, this must be the first year in... pfft.. 4? That she's done something different for her summer pv.

Well, I agree that it didn't fit to the song, but otherwise I loved it. I like the story, and they're actually a cute couple But it was sad how she let go of his hand in the end, but yeah it must be that they shouldnt've been together in the first place... Well, I do know I don't want to see the ending, I know I will cry like crazy! xD I'm too sensitive.

I don't understand one thing, in one scene Ayu is using japanese to chinese translator to say thx for saving her and in later scene (when they eat), they seem to talk without any problems? How?

Another thing, I don't like the falling glass scene. I expected the bodyguard to jump onto Ayu, falling with her on the ground and covering her with her body (XD) and not just hugging her, there were still plenty of places of her uncovered body where she could get hurt. Soooo unprofessional

Also, the shooting something scene right before is soooo long. I know Ayu is beautiful but that was somehow to much. If only there were at least some nice moments to take screencaps and make a nice banner or wallpaper of it... but the lighting it too dark and too bright one sec after another

I'm leaving general commentaries about the *cough* "PV" untill I see it properly done in the actuall movie.

EDIT: One more thing, I don't like people saying things like "If you don't like it get out of here / don't watch / don't listen" etc. People are still here because they still care about Ayu who (I admit) is more and more not like herself, slowly becoming beautiful american-like doll instead of the stylish wise woman she was before the B&D era. Earlier she was the one who decided about the fashion, now she only follows it, people don't like that and they say it loud, I understand them.

First, I think the PV is so sweet XD But I wanted something more cheerful for this PV, like the song. But I really like the idea But I hate that frozen scenese, and all scenes are kind of too long :/
The movie will last 18mins right? I think just seeing glitter is not enough, cause this is only one part. In my opinion, I think It`ll all look much deferent with fated and movie parts.
I dont know if someone answered completely that question what Ayu wrote on that thing, it says "Tasukete kurete arigatou". I would say she said "Thank you for saving me". I`m not very good in Japanese
And I hated Ayu at the end when she coldly let go of his hand...... Grrrr... But I guess that`s for their sake

I really loved the pv.. i felt it was put together in a way that made sense and it, in my opinion, worked really well with the song. I loved the scene when Ayu put her ring on Shawn (sp?) Yue's chain, reminded me of FF8 xD

Can't wait to see the whole movie!

edit: does anyone else think this is an awesome marketing ploy? if people watch glitter's pv and see the cliffhanger ending, they'll want to know what happens to Ayu and her love, so they'll have to buy the single to watch the whole thing. I hope that Avex decides not to release the fated pv-thing until a sensible time after the single has been released ~

I liked the PV, the story seems cute! Now I really want to see the movie. And Ayu looks very beautiful, that blond hair is gorgerous!

I can't see what some people are complaining... but then again, even if this was a traditional summer beach PV, they'd still complain, I think...

If this was a summer beach pv, I think people would be complaining a lot more. I'm just really grateful that this isn't another YAY HAPPY SHINY PEOPLE ON BEACH thing again. glitter has an actual idea to it.

Yeah avex is pretty smart in that manner. I hope the fated doesn't get out on tv either.

SKYia The thing is when you hear the same old people ramble against Ayu year after year you start to wonder what the hell they are doing here. In the end it is a product: either you like/buy it or you don't. It's just that simple.

However some people create a whole melodrama out of it and spend days complaining about the same old thing and it starts to grate. I don't mind if people don't like a release here and there but one must remember this is also an Ayu fan forum. Sure you are free to express your opinion but there is a thin line between opinion and [concealed] bashing/whining and several seem to cross it. And seriously most of her fans get annoyed when they hear the same people complain over and over like a broken record. Because we all love Ayu and enjoy her releases.

And saying she's "not like herself" ... well, who the hell knows how she really is or wants to be? Ayu has always followed fashion in the end. Sure she created a few trends here and there but in the end the true trendsetters are the fashion designers.

I like the PV, since as some people have said, its used like a promo for the short film. I think that's correct, because all the banners I've seen in Shibuya and Akihabara say Distance Love, instead of glitter/fated.
