Angela Aki - “TODAY”



Fifteen months after the release of her debut album Home, Angela Aki will be releasing her second full length album, TODAY. Slated for release on September 19, the album will contain Angela’s singles Sakurairo, Kodoku no Kakera and her most recent Tashika ni. It’ll also contain the song Again and possibly On&On, the B-side to the Sakurairo single. Speculations about the album’s title indicate that TODAY, the Smashing Pumpkins song Angela covered on her second single Kokoro no Senshi will be included but nothing’s confirmed yet.

The album will come in the CD-only format and a CD+DVD version which includes the PVs for all three singles and making of segments. A live recording of Sakurairo from her recent tour will also be included.

Angela first released an all English album in the US in 2000, an album dedicated to her religious beliefs. She then released a mini album in early 2005 and after officially debuting with her single HOME later on in the same year, it was announced that Angela’s third single, Kiss Me Good-bye would have a tie in with the PlayStation 2 epic Final Fantasy XII. After being quiet for a while, Angela returned with the single Sakurairo and released two more with all three singles being released within the space of four months (with her most recent, Tashika ni coming out tomorrow).

i got confused, worried and excited all in one, becuase of this sentence!

hm..i'll keep an eye out for it.

i hope it wont be redundant of Home.
that'd really suck.
i know i'll download it first, then probably wait for a Taiwan/Hong Kong version if i decide to buy it.

hopefully she won't disappoint. :/


i dont see why she'd name the album after another artist's song though...
