From Ayu's comments it seems that it's because they have been together for so long that their romantic relationship kinda fell apart.(coupled with the pressures of their jobs) It's like most married couples (not all), but if you've been together for a long time the relationship becomes more like that of companions and close friends, rather than lovers/boyfriend girlfriend. You can still have love and respect for each other but just not in that romantic type of way anymore. Some people can't handle the relationship being only that. That's why it's good that they waited so long to get married; it's better this than being trapped in a marriage they are unhappy in or getting a divorce right now instead of just splitting up.

I think some people might be reading too much into this and not trusting the words that are coming out of Ayu's own mouth. None of us know exactly what went on and Ayu's word is good enough for me. I really think it's been this way for quite a long while and they only recently decided to make it "official."

At first (well yesterday) I was shocked, I couldn't believe it. I was felling sad for her! But more I'm thinking about it, plus after reading her second TA message,
I'm changning my mind. It's her choice & she's ok with it. It's what she wants & I completly respect that. It's sure that we are worried but after reading this message I think we don't need to. She wants us to respect this decision. & we have to remember that she's happy with that. That's really what is important: that she is happy.
I can say that after reading this message, I completly changed my mind of seeing this & as a fan of Ayu I think that the better way of supporting her is to respect her decision.
