Maybe when u know something, u dun necessary have to say it, that is if u consider the consequences that follow. If what u say is not gonna improve the situation in this case, perhaps it's better not to say it, just to be considerate to the feelings of those affected, now that is what most of us will do and want others to do.

But since she's an elder (and as a senior who cares), I believe she has no bad intentions of what she's doing. It's really about perception. Change ur perspective and see her words in a different light, then u may understand her true intention. I think she's also risking her name and using her position to say her thoughts (her words carry some weight given her fame in Japan), afterall if she wants to play safe and keep a good reputation, she could just be silent over this matter. So I'm sure she cares for Ayu n Nagase and hopes they are together. Yeah.

There's a Chinese saying of good advice usually isn't pleasant to the ears, just like good medicine is usually bitter to the tongue.

The fact that she takes the extra effort to mind everybody's business I think is because as a respected elder, she takes up the responsibility and task to correct the wrong she sees and gives advice with the intention to make the problem smaller. But of course she is only human, and doesnt have the power to see all angles, inside and outside of the whole situation of every problem (in this case perhaps she doesnt know the actual reason behind the breakup, none of us do) so sometimes her advice isn't the most suitable every time I guess.

I do recall in the CNN interview that Ayu says about wanting to remain as a child and doesnt want to be a grown-up/adult. I'm not sure if that has any bearing on the breakup since marriage is somewhat a responsibility of grown-ups/adults.

In a relationship, no one is really right or wrong, it sometimes works and fits and sometimes it doesnt. It's like a jigsaw puzzle piece. If a jigsaw puzzle piece fits, it fits. Different jigsaw puzzle pieces have different shapes, there are some which u can tell right away it doesn't fit. There're also some that u need time to rotate and check all edges to see if it fits (like each edge of a puzzle piece is each attribute of a person). The time spent on checking if a puzzle pieces fits is the 7 years Ayu spent on the relationship. It is long perhaps of her busy schedule with her work and little time spent with Nagase, yeah thatz my thought.
