Yeah, I was hoping the full movie would shed some more light on that, but apparently not....my guess is that maybe she and Shawn decided to elope or something so she got dressed up in a wedding dress and was running to meet him at their special meeting place so they could get married. And then he got into the accident while trying to get to the same place

I didn't cry...I was moved at the ending, but not to the point of tears
