I like Ayu's "I am... era and RAINBOW era" - 2001-2004 - those were the good old times!! ^^

I think just because it's when I discovered Ayumi, but I think RAINBOW/Memorial address VERY closely followed by MY STORY. I know a lot of people weren't too fond of RAINBOW, but I think she had some amazing songs on that album (Heartplace, July 1st, Voyage, Over, independent+) along with everything from Memorial address except No way to say (I have never liked that song).

MY STORY was an incredible album, to me, and flowed very well. In all honesty I haven't liked much anything she's released since HEAVEN, though I will say that 1 LOVE and JEWEL are amazing songs.

Sorry to go a bit OT seeing as how we're talking era's and not albums, but I want to mention that, as far as albums go, I think Secret was one of her worst (except A Song for XX, but I won't get into that... lol)

Hehe...I was reading previous posts before posting and noticed that lot of people actually did like RAINBOW. Hmm...I was under the impression that a lot of people hated it 'cause of how much English she used.

I think for me, the favourite will always be RAINBOW era.
RAINBOW was the first album of ayu I bought, and I like how grown-up and brave she seemed then. I LOVE that HANABI video thingy from the commercial spot, where she stands in the rain and leans on a pillar crying... I wish she'd done a whole PV for that.

LOVEppears to I am for me, with Duty and I am being equal top favourite albums for me, we all know I am is a great album, but I think the Duty is often overlooked when it comes to Ayu's music career.
