I think Ayu made a right decision. No offense to Mr. Nagase but if his indecisiveness is true then Ayu shouldn't regret it. But on the other hand, choosing between Work and Love is a very difficult decision. I think one good example is Mori Masako. She was once as successful as Ayu in her time (I believe she was before Yuming, but the statement is just for comparison purposes), and she decided to marry another in the industry. She ended up having giving up her successful life for her husband until they finally seperated about a year ago. (Keep in mind that she had to do this for about 25-30 years)

I think Ayu really wanted to keep going instead of sitting idle for Tomoya for 25 years, while her voice rusts over and she can't do as much if/when she would come back. I guess she also didn't want to give up her current position in the industry just yet, and prove herself strong for the years to come.

Incidentally in the same magazine, hidden under the Ayu/Nagase reports was the romantic two-shot of NEWS' Tomohisa Yamashita and Yuu Abiru and the clubbing pics of KAT-TUN's recently reinstated Jin Akanishi. It was full of Johnny's material.

I think that everyone is interfering with their private lives, it's so annoying! (( I know, I know they're famous and such. . .)) I think that all this articles are just pushing and pressuring both of the, [Nagase & Ayu] to talk about it, but Japan is so. . . enclosed and private, it's really a kind of disturbing culture. See? Thanks for the translations. These articles actually sound more accurate than the ones we had before. I could imagine Ayu choosing her work over love. She's just a workaholic, like she said herself.

But Ayu in a movie? Wow, that's what I'd love to see. Somehow that just sounds so... unbelievable. Because she hasn't acted almost at all during her singing career (except for Tsuki ni shizumu and Distance love), so why start now? Well, we'll see. I hope it's true. I think she'd do really well.

yeah, weird huh?

but i think it's just sad... and suffocating. love makes u stupid. but it truly conquers all and is unstoppable as death. *sigh* but i think the media should stop it already and leave their private lives alone. it probably burns enough already. it's kinda ridiculous to list all the possible reasons why. just leave it.

^ Pachinko is this very very popular game played in Japan with a lot of small metal balls. Kind of like pinball in a sense, but it's also like combined with casino slot machines and you get to win money. These pachinko joints are run by the Japanese Yakuza though (the Japanese Mafia), so it can get rather risky. There have been cases where people are so absorbed into the pachinko game that they can squander their entire life's fortune on them.

Anyway, back on topic. I like the Japanese articles much better than the crazy Hong Kong tabloids. They really do provide more insights in a way. I think the first article does quite a good job at analysing Ayu's current situation.
