Kelly Clarkson has reportedly scrapped her new album after label bosses weren't impressed with the record.

The American Idol alum suffered a scathing attack from Sony BMG chief Clive Davis after he heard the new tracks, reports British newspaper the Daily Star.

A source at the record company tells the paper, "It was an extraordinary presentation. Clive was absolutely merciless in his criticism of Kelly. She's one of the biggest priorities on the label and her new songs were savaged."

We're not sure if the album is scrapped totally but Clarkson herself has spoken out publicly about her labels dislike of her new album.

She produced and wrote the entire album herself, with her touring band.

Gone are the hitmakers that made her last album so good and incredibly successful.

Hopefully she can call Max Martin and some other people and they can add some songs to her as-yet-released new album ASAP!

See? Now this is absolute crap. I HATE LABELS. Record labels, to be exact. A person spends 3 years writing an album and this happens? Fudge that! Never again debuted at NUMBER 8 ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100! IN IT'S FIRST WEEK!

I seriously doubt the rest of the cd could be bad. Clive Davis is not known for good music making, he's known for MAKING PEOPLE LIKE MADE MUSIC. He TELLS people what to like, and for some sick reason, we do. Now I won't say a lot of music that has come from the manufactured bands or singers is bad, but it's all pretty much TOO perfect, too flawless, too well made and executed. Sometimes we wanna hear the real artist, not what they want us to hear. We wanna hear the screwups and the imperfections, we want an artist who is human.

Unfortunately, Record Labels just don't care as long as they rake in the cash. I guess this is why I rarely buy cd's anymore. What's the point?

(Sorry I have been seemingly rantish lately, I guess I kinda have so much beef with so many things it's kinda coming to a boil, but at least i'm using my anger constructively! )

RCA SUPPORTS KELLY: Despite rumor-mongering from the U.K. Daily Star and other online sources, there is no dispute between Kelly Clarkson and the RCA Music Group. These rumors began after the SBMG International meetings in Las Vegas a couple of weeks back and were based on an inaccurate report about Clive Davis' presentation of Kelly's new LP at the confab. Sources who were there insist the chatter is not true. In fact, Davis specifically stated that Kelly is “one of the top four artists at Sony BMG” and wanted to ensure that she is treated as such. There are absolutely no plans to scrap the LP. Meanwhile, Richard Palmese's promo team is working round the clock to deliver Kelly's first single, “Never Again,” to trigger the release of what all are convinced is a chart-topping album. (5/4p)

My December is the title of the upcoming third album by Kelly Clarkson, to be released on June 25, 2007 in Europe and on June 26, 2007[4] in North America. Clarkson confirmed the name of the album in her journal on her fanclub website on February 27, 2007.[5] Clarkson has stated in interviews that she has written this entire album herself.[6]

It comes out next month, actually..
