Hmm I guess...probably because also she had a one-year break in between BLUE BIRD & glitter/fated so she wants to catch up and have enough material for another album by the end of the year.

That might be it though if they plan for the 9th studio album so it might be just in March-April for the 10th anniversary, we can't know anything yet... It depends if she'll have two more singles after that (to have 4 singles for the album) so I think the album will be released at the 10th anniversary area as well.
As another single will be released on December, another one on February-March and a new album on March-April (ayu's 10th anniversary). But go figure if it will be like this.

I think that after the I am... frenzy, avex trax has had a clear plan that every Ayumi album must be preceded by 3 singles. The last two albums have been exceptions because of Ayumi's sudden fangirling over Sweetbox/GEO and because of her eye damage.
Yeah, I hope they don't tie the 9th album in with the 10th anniversary. It's just so annoying, I mean.... "HI, IT'S MY 10TH YEAR, HERE'S MY 9TH ALBUM." The number 9 loses all of its importance when it's next to the number 10. D:

I don't think there was a plan really...

I mean, to divide the year up so that there would be enough promotion for X amount of singles.. it'd be around 3 months between each single.

However that's making sure that there is an album released at the end of the year, without any interruptions [A BEST 2, infection of the eye..]~ D:

i think that all of ayu's strong rock songs sound different
so i don't think that this new single will sound that generic like glitter did

and hopefully the rock that they are talking about is a dark kind of rock!

if you look at 2001, or the intervieal between & and forgiveness, they are all less than 3 months. so i think they just release singles when they want to

at this rate, if ayu will have another single, it might be in November and her album the earliest it will be out is Dec...but i don't quite like the idea of another single being so close to album release, i had not forget about B&D sales.......i would rather the album out next year.......

Well, the reason for the interval between & and forgiveness is because of the fact that there was no single before &.. XD

Well, RAINBOW was evenly spaced between the Voyage and &...

The recent gap was larger... ~13 months since BB, ~8 months since Secret, ~6 months since A BEST 2 (part of Me). That was fun

For now, all we had from BLUE BIRD was Secret / part of Me / glitter. D:~

Somehow, after performing at the a-nation concerts, Ayu came down with some sort of eye infection on her right eye.

There were no appearances or promotion during that time [which was probably around the time that she would've been planning a fall single..] This was most evident during a Zespri conference when she wore big sunglasses to cover her eyes. An excite translation of an article at the time:

Hamasaki is a sunglasses appearance. When the feeling doctor's diagnosis was received, abnormality is said the right eye according to parties concerned at the end of last month the diagnosis as the hemorrhage under the conjunctiva.

Basically, it was probably bleeding in her eye or something. But that's not as bad as it sounds actually. XD

It looks like supposedly like this when it happens (depends on severity I guess?) but its probably why she wore sunglasses to that event:

I hope we will get the new Panasonic CM sometime soon! I want a preview or something already! Specially, since we knew about the new CM for quite some time. (I don't really like it, when CMs are released after the full version. Though in some cases it's OK - say: When the CM is original.)

Two rocktunes sounds great! I wonder if ayu will lean towards a even rockier sound now, in her third chapter...

For some reason, the CM is supposedly coming out dangerously close to the release date of the single [on TV anyway..]

It's likely that the CM will be leaked on the site by next week hopefully ;D
