I think it was mostly a joke/public stunt in order to surprise fans...I dunno, we will never know the truth behind these things LOL

I do agree I've always been quite curious to listen to all of her songs that were never released. I'm sure there's quite a few....

Maybe it was just miscommunication between Ayu and Staff. I dunno, she could have joked around "MAYBEee I'll make a mini album this year!" then they put it on her site and she's liek "WTF CHANGE IT TO FULL.. NOW!!"
or maybe they were like "Ayu dear you need a break. Save some songs for next year" and updated the site for a mini album and then she logs onto the site one morning and goes "WTFFFFFF. *calls staff* WTF! GET THAT OFF NOW AND MAKE IT A FULL ONE

I'm sure they're hiding plenty. If Ayu is the way she seems to appear to me, I'm sure she goes back to unreleased material every now and then to re-visit and play around with the lyrics/composition a bit more.

I have a feeling that most of these shelved songs would come from her "I am..." to "MY STORY" era, where she did the most composing. Then what she probably did for (miss)understood and Secret is re-visit some if she was stuck with one or two open tracks, and have someone else re-arrange it for her. (I just have this feeling that this is where "criminal" came from, like it belonged on "I am..."; then you have what people say is the downgrade of M [momentum], which could've been a first edition M)
