Supposedly: Jive has already chosen to release Break the Ice as the next single, as confirmed by SonyBMG, and is expected to be released mid November.

And (great new folks!, to the Britney fans at least)

The Pop Princess's latest album 'Blackout', is expected to debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 Albums next week. That will let Spears to break her own record again by becoming the first female artist in SoundScan history to have her first five studio albums debut at number-one. (She previously set the record for her 2003 number-one album In The Zone). According to Billboard, the album sold about 125,000 copies on its first day. The lead single from the album- 'Gimme More' has reached the top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Britney's record label Jive is ready to release the next single 'Break The Ice' (produced by Nate Hills), which is expected to hit the airwaves in mid-November.

But really, why are some folks so anal over this single choice??? It's a damn great song. And it has a very urban sound, and it'll get lots of radio play because of it, which is what needs to be out there in Britney's name right now. Get things away from her personal life and onto her music. Piece Of Me is a great song but it's about the media harassment (which were trying to take the attention away from) and it also isn't as radio friendly as Break The Ice. Piece Of Me shouldn't be released just yet, but later.

Radar, Piece of Me, Gimme More, Toy Soldier, and Freakshow are the bestest. Durr stupid voter people. Screw Break The Ice

Most of the songs remind me of BoA's Bad Drive song style.
Get Back has that hymn behind the beats that reminds me of hikki's Movin' on without you the "Nothing gonna stop me" part.

Oh my... Blackout is debuting at no. 2 this week because Billboard just changed the policy of the chart.

Previously, titles that were not generally available at retail were not eligible to appear on The Billboard 200, but were entitled to chart on Billboard's Top Comprehensive Albums, which includes catalog titles and proprietary albums from retailers willing to report those sales.

So Eagle's new album will kick Britney off the no. 1 streak... ..

i got the same feeling as well. well Eagles sold over 700,000 at Walmart only this week.. Britney sold around 290,000 copies at different stores.. So we can't really say anything except that Billboard doesn't really want Britney on no. 1..

I had read about it on wiki yesterday. And they should that it wouldn't take affect until...well, today! So I mean, Britney should have her number 1. Why are the billboards doing that crap (I know why but not to Brit). I HATE WAL-MART NOW!
