just looked up the meaning of marionette (yes I didn't know what it was)
A marionette (also called a fantoccino) is a type of puppet with strings controlled by a puppeteer (called a wirepuller) from above. Marionettes are operated with the puppeteer hidden or revealed to an audience in different forms of theatres or entertainment venues. I sniff another alterna.
