[2007] Things you hate about Ayu? OMG.

Lack of meaningful art/symbolism in album/single covers and PVs.
Also, a huge peeve of mine is her inconsistency with her single covers and the songs. The Together When... cover totally doesn't fit with the image of the PV. It doesn't even really fit with the sound of the song; it just looks like a random picture from a photoshoot.

I do enjoy Ayu's "cute" style, but, I have to feel insulted as a fan sometimes, because I feel she should take her music, image, and fans more seriously. I'd love to see intelligent, coherent interviews such as the CNN interview which aired last December.

I have been a fan of Ayu for five years and have watched her style "evolve". Her music has touched me and is something I deeply enjoy. However, I can't help but feel detached from her in the sense that she seems more like an image than a person. This feeling has progressed over the years due to Ayu's lack of involvement in composing & participating in the production of her songs, and her general shift in attitude to a "cutesy-diva" persona. She seemed less "untouchable" and more down-to-earth a handful of years ago.
