While a lot of what UH says can be... provoking at the very least... I think the lyrics he provided are appropriate... it doesn't have to be Ayu's... they fit just fine in this situation.

she's not completely deaf though (title is misleading, much?), only her left ear has lost its function.

It could always be severe Meniere disease. It would justify why she tripped (due to vertigo), the tinnitus and the deafness affecting one ear only.

i think we should support Ayu's decision that she willl continue to sing, she's also doing it for herself because she loves to sing, i tihnk if Ayu took a break it would make her even more unhappy.

I think she has some disease/disorder in her ear, it's not a trauma. I remember that when this "ear infection" first appeared that there were already talks that there's a chance she'll go deaf in that ear and there's nothing she can do about it. I guess that times arrived now

so just to clarify, her tours / live performances don't affect it.

First losing her love, then her friend and now going partially deaf... I admire her determination to keep going, she's so strong.

I wonder when we'll get more information about what's affecting her ears? Is it the loud sound or something else? She wrote: "That's why I'll keep singing as long as this remaining right ear works, to its limit." So is the right ear going worse now too?

That explains the vocal disorder on CDL. I knew that it must be sth with her ear. AT2007 must have been very exhausting for her ears. I feel so bad right now. But I have no doubt that I will support her no matter what. She is truly a strong person and I feel proud to be her fan.

The reason why she wants to sing until she reaches her limit is for us, the fans. And I'm really touched by that...

I think she's really really strong... As her fans, I think all we can do now is to support whatever decisions she make.

Many musicians have ear problems or even become deaf, even one ear only. Because the music is always extremely loud on live shows and musicians usually go through that every day. I have been lately losing my hearing on my left ear too though that's completely because I listened to music too loudly too often.

It could be that head injury she may have gotten (like someone said) too or something.

Ayu still keeps amazing me, how well she has taken this. (I was like WHAT?! when I saw the title, I thought she had become completely deaf.) Many sad things have been happening to her now, but she'll survive. I thought about "Music is my life. My life is music." words too when I read this. Everything good to her~ Ganbatte Ayu!
