I was considering sections, if the turnout is really high for messages. When the volunteer sends out their portion of the pages all done up, they can make sure it's split up by who's from what country (maybe paperclip and place the letters in different folders), and the mainscrapbooker can split the book off in sections. I don't think we should make any big deal about what forum we are from, though. To ayu, I think it would just be amazing for her to see how many people from different COUNTRIES, not forums, know about her and are loyal followers and supporters.

What would really make the 'homemade' scrapbook really unique is that the different scrapbookers will assemble their pieces differently and their creative styles will differ and it would be awesome if people DO write in their native language, because whether she understands it or not, it doesn't matter. Just think how she sings in Japanese, and when we don't know what she's saying, but we can feel her message and it still touches us...kinda like that effect. And if this does turn out to really happen, I'm sure she has the capability to get translators.

kyuutii_hanii the "Name, Country" thing is a great and they can add that in their message, and if they don't, they should include it in their email to a volunteer when they agree to send something.

(Like, one or two people per forum / group / site could be the ones who set up the pages for those e-mails / letters sent, and then the head person can either be someone in Japan, or someone outside of Japan, but they put the pages together, make the scrapbook, and either send it to some at TeamAyu or someone in Japan.)

Another idea that we could possibly put in the scrapbook...along with your letters / messages, maybe you could include a picture of your Ayu collection? CDs, DVDs, magazines, photobooks, Ayupans, stickers, t-shirts, etc. (Try not to have 20 pictures, though. D=)

An idea on how to set it up...should have sections per country? Like, a certain section of fans from Japan, then another from the US, and then other ones? Or should we just have the person (who wrote the message) just say where they're from?
^ ^ another brilliant idea . .in my opnion , I want our scrapbook looks pretty and cute but i know that's not necessary. I would like everyone to mail to the person who will put our messages or letters into scrapbook but if the electronic mailing is more convenience , it's ok .
I like the idea to have sections per country . . cos Ayu can see me only in that country sections . . lol

No_Doubt oh man...your pictures. You're a photoshop genius lmao

Monkey_D_Ruffy16 short sum up is we have two different ways to send her messages. If you just want to type up a letter/send pics/ whatever you want to give ayu in an e-mail because it's easier, as of now we HAVE NOT found someone who is willing to receive messages that way. For people on this forum who want to handwrite/send pics/little creative items/ for ayu (and include sheet protector lol), you can email me at ayuscrapbookahs@gmail.com or Draggi and we'll give you the address to send your package of things so we can put it together on your own page of the scrapbook. If you do it this way, you should tell us what your name is and what country you're from.

HEEEY I thought of another idea to make this even more hectic.

Maybe there's some people who want to send a message through video lol. That would be just...wow. They can do whatever, sing a bit of a song for her, show off their ayu stuff, have friends and do something cute for her, possibilities are endless. If anybody is interested in this, all you have to do is send the videos (should be no longer than 5 min, and no bigger than 20mb) and the person who wants to be in charge of this would arrange them all in a video editor and save to a cd (or cds) and they can edit them with some input from us and throw what they have up so far on youtube or something. But when it's finalized, we can include that cd with the scrapbook. I don't think there will be a great deal of people doing this, so it should be manageable.

AyuHamasaki01 what we need right now is this...

VOLUNTEERS. People who want to receive things in their mail to arrange on pages for a main scrapbook. These people need to agree to handle a forum where they announce the big ayu scrapbook idea and people who want to participate, email them, and in return, they will give them an address to send their package of stuffs.

NEXT THING. We NEED someone who is okay with printing off letters and pics through email for people who want to send letters that way. I still think these letters should be included in the scrapbook, so if they can put the letters in clear sheets and mail them to...

THE NEXT NEXT THING. We NEED someone who wants to be the head scrapbooker...who will receive all the arranged pages from the forum volunteers and put them in an actual book, and then mail it to...

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVARR. We NEED someone in Japan who can receive the main scrapbook and send it ayu's fan mail address.

Did I miss anything lol?

Monkey_D_Ruffy16 are you talking about sending things through e-mail or through post office? For e-mail we don't have anybody who wants to receive these e-mails. But for post office, you can make the letter any way you want in any language and include any extra stuff to an address I can give you in an e-mail.

^ Yeah if you have friends who aren't in AHS or any forum but are fans of ayu and want to send her a special letter or anything else, they can do that. But yeah we do need someone who can save all the email letters and pics and be able to print them.

Okay, okay, okay, HERE'S THE PLAN:

- Volunteers: We have a lot of people who want to do this, and this is great. Thankfully, we have TWO people working on this here at AHS. (And me and Draggi are working at other sites as well.) The two people working here can work together to print out the e-mails sent to the account. (I think it would be easier if everyone who would rather e-mail letters / pictures to e-mail it to the gmail account. That way, once all the e-mails are sent, you all can browse through them and take about half of them each.) Also, we need to figure out who our main leader will be, and where exactly we will be sending this to in Japan.

- As far as sending letters go, we have two options: e-mail and handwritten. It's preferred that you handwrite your letters and send them, but if you can't do that, then e-mailing is okay. Unfortunately, that takes a lot of time, paper, and ink.

- What to include in the letters: A nice message / letter to Ayu, your name, where you are from (city-wise), and maybe a picture of your Ayu collection. (Or, if you have ever made a costume based on something Ayu wore, maybe have a picture of you in that?) You can do both ideas, but don't send too many pictures (especially if we have to print them out).

- Also, if you handwrite the letter, it's suggested that you provide a sheet protector for your page. You don't have to, but it would be nice. =)

- Donations are suggested as well. This will not be cheap, sending this to Japan. (The scrapbook will most likely be big.) You don't have to give much, you don't even have to give anything. A couple of us have PayPal accounts, but if you can't donate through that, than hidden cash is accepted as well.

- Since this idea seems to be well-liked, we can make sections of what countries we are from. It hasn't been discussed in details yet, but it can be by size, in alphabetical order, whichever we choose.

I guess that's everything, then. If I missed anything, or if I got something wrong, don't hesitate to tell me. =)

EDIT: Also, I know some people have already started to send stuff, but we should also really focus on getting the other Ayu groups / sites / forums informed on this. It would be awesome to have 50-100 people included in the book, not just 20 or so. :-/

//Oh and btw, will the scrapbook have a cover?

polka-dot-jewel how about this. The places that are currently being encouraged to participate, we start with those and use it as a test run. They can send things through e-mail or snail mail and we'll take them, split them up, and work with those. Us volunteers can get together online or e-mail eachother if we're not all available to discuss how much we'll split up the emailed stuff and depending on who's cool with it, we'll accept mail through post offices for those who want to send that way. For ex. One volunteer lives in Germany, so people who live in a country close to Germany or in Germany can snail mail them their letter that way. That way it won't take so long with someone from like Canada sending their stuff to Australia.

This will give us an idea of what we need to address, and how smoothly we can make it work. Then if all goes well and the turnout is good and us volunteers are comfortable with the workload, then we post pics and progress reports to other communities and tell them if they're interested they can join the project as well.
