Wait, wait...I don't get it. Shouldn't it technically be 3 weeks = "the week" then? Not 2? Because if 2 weeks technically makes up the week's sales, but the 3rd week can turn that around...

And at any rate, looks like MISIA's album will prevent that from happening.

As this point it looks like MISIA's album will be #3 weekly actually, unless her sales will go WAY up.

#1: Ayumi Hamasaki (GUILTY) -> 9,238 + 8,076 (x1.7) = 29,434
#2: Kobukuro (5296) -> 8,987 + 8,222 (x1.7) = 29,255
#3: MISIA (EIGHTH WORLD) -> 10,026 (x1.7) = 17,044

MISIA has more than 12,000 copies to catch up and tomorrow ayu's and kobukuro's will be even higher.

btw if an album is selling more than all of the other albums in Japan at a certain week then it's considered as a #1 album doesn't matter in what week, month, year it happened ^-^

Ayu is numba 1 no matter what. Dont cre what chart says. She is number 1 and the rest can suck chicken gizzards.

This is exciting, actually. Ayu needs to get her revenge for being beaten by Kobukuro in the last two weeks. Hopefully this week she secures the number 1.

Well GUILTY actually did beat their album on its first week but overall with the second week their album sold more >_>

I like those numbers! (except Ayu and Kobukuro are too close) If ayumi can maintain a 10k per day...which I hope she can...she'll have a #1...only a few more days! Her fans can do it!

The first week didn't really count, though, did it? The Christmas release was just a special surprise for the fans, which is why GUILTY didn't appear on the weekly charts until this week. If the first week had counted, GUILTY would have debuted on the weekly charts last week.

I honestly don't know how Oricon deals with things like that.

^No Oricon just doesn't report the last week of the year. They go on break and combine the two weeks as one.

I KNOW! People are still eating up their BEST album too. So unfair! (Congrats to them though....no hate here!)

GUILTY is a strong album and i think it can pull off strong sales by the end of the year.

Two questions:

Does anybody know her DOWNLOADED sales? (Actual figures, not where it's currently placed it.) Obviously, "Together When..." did really well (well, it was at #1 for some time, anyway). On iTunes, "(don't) leave me alone" is #2 on the video charts, and GUILTY is #8. (Misia is actually beating her by 2 spots, and I don't even see Kobukuro on the charts.)

Didn't this happen before? Her and Utada released the same week, Utada got #1 the first week, and then Ayu got #1 the next? It would be really cool for Ayu to BEAT Kobukuro and get a #1...for at least one week, anyway. XD

Yeah, but that was with A BEST in 2001. It will be a lot harder to do now.
