Clicking on New Posts brings up search engine

Sometimes (probably about 1 out of 5 times I try) when I click on the New Posts it tells me 'Sorry, no matches found;' and then when I go back and click on New Posts again it tells me I have to wait 60 seconds until I try to search again.

At first I just thought it was a fluke, but it's happened to me probably about 15 times now and I'm just like, 'wtf?'

Is it just me, or is it happening to other people, too?

Well "New Posts" in itself is a search - a search for the most recently updated posts; both the ones that were updated since the last time you checked and new ones that were updated afterwards.

In that case, the 60 sec rule that applies for regular searches applies for this too.

However, I haven't gotten the problem when it says no matches found..., sorry I couldn't help with that.

It happens to me sometimes, not very often fortunately. I click on "New Posts" and the first page of new posts appears, no problem here. Then, when I click on the second page, it says "Sorry, no matches found" as well. Well it doesn't always happen to the second page, sometimes it's the third or fourth etc. page.

Well, it'll say it found no matches if all posts seem to be read.

^I think the issue is that there are a substantial amount of new posts but the new-search won't turn them up. It happens to me sometimes too.

Actually this message - 'Sorry, no matches found- will appear at the following situation:

You open your browser and click on new posts. Later you open a new browser and use the new posts function again (so it will make an updated search). You end up closing the window with the new search, and try to browse thriough the window with the old search, so if you use the "old" window to try to browse through the pages of threads 1, 2, 3, etc, you'll get the message "Sorry, no matches found", because that "New Posts" window browser is outdated. You'll either have to click at "New posts" again, or open it in another window. It always happen to me if I do these things I mentioned, because I have the habit of opening several separate windows for every single thread I'm going to read.

^^But it usually happens on the first time I even go to the AHS page, not after I've already been to a few pages. Usually the first thing I do when I get here is click on 'New Posts,' and that's usually when I get it. :/ So it can't be because the new posts are outdated. Also, when I wait the 60 seconds and go back and click on it again it works. :/ So I dunno.

But I've also had that happen before once or twice, so that would at least explain that situation. Thanks for the help, and if you know anything as to why it does it the first time that would be awesome. Thanks so far!

It's not just wait 60 seconds. There has to be an update (someone posting and bumping up one of the threads, and one more rule: it can't be you who bumped the thread with a recent post but somebody else LOL) in order for the trick I mentioned to "work" (more like, give that annoying message LOL).

I'm not sure why it happens when you click in it for the first time. It often happens to me, but only in the situation I mentioned, because of my habit of opening hundreds of windows.
