^ I'm pretty excited about this. Not a fan of GUILTY, but there hasn't been an Ayu remix album I didn't like (& I own some of them too ).

I hope these will do somewhat decently in the charts, or else she might not want to release another remix album for a long time. =[ And I LOVE virtually ALL Ayu mixes, so I need more!!!

Somehow I get the impression that rather than sticking to a purely house style, avex is avoiding having to create many different style albums (AKA, four versions of ayu-mi-x II) by breaking these albums into "light" and "dark" songs like A-BEST 2. Although I don't expect an acoustic track, I think most of the other remix styles will be represented. (I liked the acoustic mixes personally though).

Although club music fell out of favor here in Japan for a little while, recently, remixes have been doing pretty well again. This fall, DJ Kaori's album was very popular, esp. in the area I'm living in. (Hokkaido) Daishi Dance also put out an album recently called "Melodies Melodies" and I am currently in love with it. I saw it promoted heavily at the CD rental shop, so I think that Daishi Dance is also gaining some popularity.

About ayu-mi-x 5: I think maybe some people were put off of ayu-mi-x because ayu-mi-x 4 was mainly a "best of" and had relatively little in the way of new remix material. This must have disappointed some fans (I know it disappointed me) who already owned the other ayu-mi-x albums and may have caused some people to care less when RMX works came out. Also put into perspective that part of the reason behind ayu-mi-x 5's poor sales was copy protection. All of the RMX works albums were copy protected, and for many potential buyers, this could have been a turn off.

The track I am most looking forward to
HEAVEN (DAISHI DANCE remix)
Most of Daishi Dance's work is piano heavy and I think the song and the remix style will match nicely!

I will be the first one at the local CD shop when these come out...

While I share the same excitement as some people, I also have some doubts about this release. I was really disappointed in Ayu-mi-x 5 and the eurobeat album last time, so I'm a little wary of remix albums by her since I only really enjoyed Ayu-mi-x IV and the trance albums mostly. I'm not really familiar with the remixers involved in this project but I hope it's good as it looks!

cdjp's is listing 'first press' but does anyone know if yesasia's is 'first press' right now? i mean did anyone preorder from yesasia really early and saw them list 'initial pressing'? usually yesasia does, and when they don't they dont have it anymore, or the release does not have anything unique for the first press.

cdjp says the first press is unique for the packaging.

i'm looking to buy from yesasia because they ship much faster to me.

I second the Daishi Dance mix! I saw him live a few weeks ago and he was great. His collobarations are fantastic, too (working with Cold Feet, or Lori Fine from Cold Feet).
