I'm confused.

There are four different versions of this new single, right? The CD+DVD of "Mirrorcle World" with the re-recording of "YOU" and a CD version of the same thing, and a CD+DVD with the re-recording of "Depend on you" and a CD version of the same thing.

What's with the 8" or 12" or whatever inch covers of each version? Is that a poster or a limited edition that's, like, reminiscent of her old singles?

And what's going to be limited to 100,000 copies if this is confirmed?

Basically, can someone translate all of these "limited," "first press," and such terms into stupid for me?

I'm confused about the first press thing. The question is mainly about CDJAPAN. How can you tell if its first press or not? Is the first press even out yet?

In this case, the first press cd+dvd is the one in the long sleeve case. Once it's gone, you'll get the cd+dvd in the regular case.

Yeah in other words, if you get the deluxe edition you would get this and this, if the first press runs out then you will get this and this.

There's only first press for the CD+DVD for the YOU & Depend on you versions. Both are sold out at CD Japan. On the CD Japan page for the items, there's a button that tells if you the first press is sold out or not.

If you saw that at cdjapan and in the cd+dvd versions, two shipping units is the cd and dvd. If you look at the cd only versions, there is only 1 shipping unit because there is only 1 cd in the case. If you look at talkin' 2 myself singles there, it states the same thing but there was no bonus included in the order.

I hope all of the chaos over the different covers etc will push the single sales up!!!!!!
Hopefully a song not drastically different from t2m but with a very different image/marketing plan/anniversary tie in will be able to sell well...

it will be interesting if so,because this is not a ballad or a summer super pop song,both of which all but guarantee her decent sales these days. I really hope this approach works, I really like the song and the packaging is extremely well done.

To everyone who is confused I'll try my best to explain:

*First Press is something many Japanese artists do to get better first week sales, First Press usually have a different cover than a non first press, have additional tracks, have a poster, or whatever the artist decides to add. Usually when ordering online, First Press editions are *sold first*, and once they are sold out the non first press editions start getting sold.

*CDJapan has a useful function in which you can check on the item you wish to buy if the product has a first press then there will be a legend in yellow saying *FIRST PRESS AVAILABLE, so aslong as you order while that is up you will recieve your first press for sure. But once they are sold out the item page will change with the legend *FIRST PRESS SOLD OUT, that means there's no longer any first press unless people who pre-ordered and had a First Press cancel.


There's actually 6 versions of this single:

CD+DVD (You Version) *First Press (Comes housed inside a special sleeve and A POSTER (The poster isn't the big sleeve))

CD+DVD (YOU Version) Non First Press, It's just a regular CD+DVD, like talkin'2myself or glitter/fated DVDs version. But it has the same cover as the first press (just smaller size (normal cd size))

CD (YOU Version) Same thing as above, nothing different in this one aside from a different cover.

CD+DVD (DEPEND ON YOU Version) *First Press. Different cover than YOU version, Comes housed in a big sleeve just like the other first press, and includes another poster (different poster aparrently)

CD+DVD (DEPEND ON YOU Version) Non First Press. Same Cover as above, just normal size. Doesn't includes any extras, regular CD+DVD ala talkin 2 myself.

CD (DEPEND ON YOU Version) Nothing special or different from any other CD only release from Ayu. *Different cover than CD+DVD version

Agh, I totally regret not ordering from CDJapan. I ordered from YesAsia as well, and I wouldn't be devastated if I didn't get the limited edition but it would sure be extremely nice if I did.

They are housed in a different package. They come in a long sleeve case, in her website they are being described as being in a luxurious package.

hmmm...for HMV Japan...the number of discs for New Limited Edition CD Maxi is put as 1...thought there should be one more disc inside which is the DVD?

Probably... it's a long sleeve case, so avex actually put the cd and dvd at one single long cd case.. The regular press has the thick cd box again, so they treat the regular press as 2 units?
