I think a normal remix can be basically anything (rock version, etc.) but trance is the mindless DUM DUM DUM x 500 for 9 minutes with only a little variation and strange effects thrown onto the vocals. But that's just my opinion on trance.

There's a ton of different remix-styles and trance is just one of them.

Trance can be a normal remix just like eurobeat can be a normal remix.

Eurobeat, trance, house, electronic, techno... there are a ton!

A lot of people seem to group them together though, which is sad.
