She'd be a hardworking person, who relies on others, I think.

Just a guess and my honest opinion...

I think ayu is anti-social in person, e.g remember the movie event when she and koda kumi was sitting in the same row... Kuu was like "Oh! Hamasaki-san! Nice to meet you! Want to chat?' looking at her but ayumi just sit there and don't give a damn about koda...

When you said that she talked to hikki when she's on music station? But that is when she's aware that she's on camera, or a tv show... if possible, i think she just wants to be left alone... (i'm that kind of person too, so i know...)

Ayumi does not have the bubbly personality like hikki and koda, and we all know that... she's just a normal workaholic woman who spent 3/4 of her time working and no time to develop a real personality... Hikki and namie loved manga, watched tv at home. I think ayumi never spent much at home at all >_<

Some people did turn out to stab her in the back, and they're no longer with her. Being with ayu I can imagine them getting many job offers, maybe even overbidding their current saleries, yet they're still with her. But you can always speculate. I'm not saying for sure she's a super duper person, for all I know she could be the biggest b*** around. It just doesn't appear to be the case.

I think she would be a lot different because, to me, I think that her experiences in her profession have strongly influenced who she is, or who she knows herself to be.

Ayu is very in tune with herself; she knows her positive and negative sides, and because of this she can have healthy realtionships wih everyone.

I think that Ayu has adapted with her status as someone who is famous, by living in the moment and concentrating on things she wants to do now and then doing them, and being happy in that way. Of course she understands that many people are curious about her and her intentions/future etc., but I think that she has come to draw a definite line between what she thinks is private, and not private. and so she can direct what she wants us to know, and what she does not, and not feel guilty about any disappointment, because she feels that those things are for her and her only, and rightfully so.

Most of this, I deduce from the TalkAsia interview. I think it remains the best, most in depth report of Ayu's mature personality, and should be a requirement for any hardcore fan of ayu lol.

Wow my first post lol.

I'm a new fan of Ayumi, but from what I have seen so far..

Without fame she might have been just a typical person working a 9 to 5 job like most "regular" people do. Probably would have gotten married by now and maybe had some kids.

I see her now (in fame) has being independant, hardworking, secretive, shop-a-holic (LOL), a little vain, sarcastic, deep thinker, stable, motivated, honest, party hostess, creative, sensitive, finicky, and I could go on and on. lol

I definitely agree, this was a really good interview, I also think most fans should watch her documentries too. They show her "working" side.

^ prolly on veoh.

Her career did change her. Remember how she said that in the Duty period she found she had the responsability to keep singing and keep an example for her fans?
