Ayu's "Life" forgettable?

I really like it, but I don't think there's anything about it that makes it stand out among the lots of other songs out there. It is really good, but... I guess I have to agree I find it a bit forgettable... but maybe it's because it's a B-side that I feel that way. I'm not saying I think it should have been the A-side, but IMO Life is going to "shine" more after [if] it's placed in an album.

Extremely forgettable. Theres only a few songs of Ayu's I don't actually ever listen to. Most of them are from A Song for XX, and then there's Life. Was it just totally uninspired or what. There's no catchiness to it.

I think what the deal goin on here is that Ayu is trying to make another one of those "simple gems" or whatever, the kind that mean a lot to her or whatever,

kinda like ever free,
but ever free totally whoops Life's .....

^hopefully, it won't ever be placed on an album. I think it's a very stripped-back song without the usual ayu-pomp, but not that much forgettable. I couldn't hum to it, but there are definitely worse cases.

Actaully the only recent ayu songs that I truly really love is Life, fated and (don't) Leave me alone XD

Life isn't one of her best songs. It sounds very mid-90s. I really like fated though.

I don't think it's anything like Fated. They have similar tempo, but that was about it. I think the fact that Life has simple arrangement and is sung is a more relaxing way that makes it more forgettable. Which is pretty much the Rainbow album for me. But personally I like Life, because it reminds me of seasons.

I think life is a personal song, but not all personal songs are memorable. I think it depends on how you can relate to that song.

If you put Life & Mirrorcle World side by side together , obviously the former will be overshadowed by the latter .

Then again , Life's the B side so it's understood that you will say that the song's forgettable . That happen for me when I 1st listen to Life . I had to listen a few more times before I get it .

I would worry if Life overshadow Mirrorcle World though

I don't think it's forgettable. I really like it. I mean it does have a very simple composition compared to 'Mirrorcle World' but it's still a great song IMO.

Life is a dull, boring, forgettable Ayu song that I do not care for in the least. So yeah, I agree with the TC.

It's not super-amazing or in-your-face the way Mirrorcle World is, but it's a lovely little B-side by itself. I like the acoustic aspect of it, and I hope Ayumi continues in that direction.

In my observation, the way it arranged and the way it sung is so simple.
Its not the typical Ayu-song I listened to because its very different than I used to.

I like "Life" than "fated" because of its lyrical content.
"fated" was a very sad one while the "Life" is lighter and happier one.

"Mirrorcle World" really shines out "Life" I think.

but actually, there's nothing special and wow in the music arrangement
that will make you remember.
