^ yeah I'm sure that if Utada did a rock song with a bit of R&B still in it, it would be pretty awesome sorta like that song ....I love you.

Columbia University lists Utada Hikaru as one of their alumni who is currently changing the world or something like that. How interesting.

oh that's very interesting but er in what ways does Utada changed/influenced the world ???

Is it due to strong digital sales that she has obtained or ??

I thought Utada dropped out of Columbia - can she still technically be part of its "alumni"? I wouldn't say she's changing the world (unless J-Pop starts moving toward an experimental pop/synth direction), but she's definitely influencing a portion of it (Japan and beyond).

Hikki definitely changed the face of JPOP. She introduced hip-hop/R&B to Asia!

oh she should definitely get an award for that, is she the first to experiment hip-hop/r&b in her music, or is she among the firsts in the asian industry?

She was the first to bring it to the mainstream of Japanese music. There's always been R&B in Japan, but Hikki was the first one to make it a huge musical force there. The rest of Asia has followed suit and she has helped R&B spread there as well. She of course didn't do it single-handedly, but she played a huge part in it.

well when she 1st debuted in the scene , her pop/R&B was never seen before in Japanese's music so she did played a rather big part in shaping up this area to where it's today .

Has a full PV for Prisoner Of Love been uploaded on youtube/dailymotion since the song's going to be released this coming Wed ? I have seen the preview of it & it's very boring

That's what I thought too. But in their welcome packet it says under "Alumni Who Change The World," specifically, "Utada Hikaru." I just got it yesterday and I was really surprised to see it because I thought the same thing O_O
