When you think of a certain song...

Omg! I'm always telling my friend about this! I thought I was the only one who was reminded of colors when I listen to songs xD! Yay!!! I'm not crazy....so uh anyways....

Taking a page out of ShiroMai's book, I'm going to go album through album and pick some songs:

A Song For XX - The album in general I "see" in this pale sort of blue-green.
- Prologue: For some reason I imagine snow with this one, snow or just a pale, really light blue.
- A Song for XX: I see it starting off really 'soft,' so whites and blues... but then I imagine a gray in here because of the obvious sadness of the song.
- FRIEND: Light pink, creamy sort of white.
- poker face: Still continuing with the white and light pink theme, oddly enough. The bells in the background put me in mind of Christmas for some mysterious reason.
- POWDER SNOW: What do you think? (Well I'll tell you: silver)
- SIGNAL: Anything Technicolor, garish and bright - basically anything that reminds you of the 1980s D:

LOVEppears - Still pale blue.
- Introduction: Bright, lime green.
- Fly high: A really bright, but not light, blue. Like this color
- And Then: For some reason this song makes me think of 'earthy' colors - dark, deep green, a nice deep olive green / brown...
- Boys & Girls: Blue and pink, respectively.
- To Be: Salmon pink with mixes of white.
- P.S. II: A dark, deep gray instead of the pretty whites from the original POWDER SNOW. Considering how this song sounds I see this as so mechanized, and the 'powder snow' is now... well, dirty and stained.

Duty - Leopard print XD Even though that's not a color!
- Duty: Tan, like terra cotta or adobe clay.
- vogue: Scarlet red
- Far away: Same color as Fly high, really - a deep sky blue (These two songs were always grouped together in my mind for some reason... sort of as companion songs).
- SURREAL: ZOMG MY FAVORITE SONG IN THE WORLD D: I imagine it as a collection of so many different colors, really - a pale blue, soft whites and silver, but streaked through the middle is a bright, pulsing red.
- AUDIENCE: Rainbow D:
- teddy bear: A weak, almost dying sort of red. Like the color has been drained from it.

I am... - Again with earth-y sort of colors: deep green, browns...
- I am...: A shifting purple, actually. Starts out really deep and slightly unnoticeable but then as the song swells it gets brighter and 'louder.'
- Connected: A rainbow again, haha.
- NEVER EVER: Again a shifting color, this time red. Sort of like how a jewel will show different colors if it's held in light? NEVER EVER kind of pulses for me like that: different parts of the song are different colors being shown off by light.
- still alone: Black, surprisingly. Just one giant sweep of black with only one bright, white spot in the center.
- Daybreak: Dawn, sunlight colors - reds, oranges, pinks, pale purples and blues.
- Dearest: Pale, drained browns - earthy tones, sort of, but also something very soft like you'd see in a baby's nursery.

RAINBOW: Not a rainbow, surprisingly, but the teal blue on the album cover. There's actually going to be LOTS of blue shades for this album, as I imagine a lot of the songs in blue tones.
- everlasting dream: I picture a jungle, oddly enough: dark and bright greens, a radiant blue, violent shades of orange and red.
- Heartplace: a deep, royal blue.
- Over: Pale, waning blue and white.
- HANABI: You know how after you see a firework, the color is kind of imprinted on the "inside" of your eyelids, but when you open your eyes all you see is smoke? Well, I picture a red firework in the sky bursting and then immediately becoming nothing but pale gray-white smoke. The song is the smoke.
- Dolls: Blue like the sea at dusk, so deep it's almost black, but then I imagine the blue sea of the Caribbean, where it looks almost fake and teal.
- RAINBOW (I'm throwing it in here cos this is where it belongs, heh): Even though the name of the song is basically a collection of colors I still don't see all of them particularly when I hear the song. I think it's really just an overlapping as the song progresses: Starts out pale and white, deepens, slightly, to a pink, which 'burns' into an orange until, finally, you have red.

I'm really too lazy to do the rest so I'll just do some favorite songs / albums in general XD:

GUILTY (album): Earth-y tones again, browns of all shades with a mix of orange.
part of Me: Red, bright and deep.
JEWEL: Silver.
CAROLS: Silver and a creamy off-white, like an egg shell.
talkin' 2 myself: Blacks and browns, like a bruise.
fated: A weak sort of yellow that starts to wane.
SECRET (album): Violet.

I think that without doing it on purpose I would associate the color to the title according to the album or the single cover it's on, or even the music video. And I've noticed a lot of people in this thread doing the same thing.

Talkin' 2 Myself being [color=red]Red[color] because the cover of the single is red.

BLUE BIRD has Ayu on a tiny sand island with LOTS ofSky Blue water around her.

STEP you being pink/magenta because the cover is pink.

I usually connect a color to a song according to what album it was on. Like MY STORY songs I usually connect to pink/black colors. Secret I connect to black or dark colors.
