there's probably a LOT less that goes on her face than you think

lip gloss, eye and brow liner, mascara, opt shadow, blush, concealer, powder foundation if even that?

and an eyelash curler goes a long way for her

her makeup artists always make perfection out of her and she always knows what's most tasteful (which goes to say, comes into play outside of makeup too)

The fact that fairyland has the same chorus melody as Angel's Song and then after that that her summer pop songs have had almost the same feel to them, even if Blue Bird is a superior song...

The fact that her album covers have been tacky and unrelated to the music since after Memorial Address...

The fact that her expressions in photoshoots are more and more unnatural looking these days...

i dont like the fact that ayu has bad single covers as compared to last time where each single has a theme and it's evident in every performance of that song.

just like M has the virgin mary theme on her cover. so most of her perf of M, she was wearing white. and for NEVER EVER, it was the prisoner theme. so most of her perf of
NEVER EVER that time was of camouflage pattern.

Now, it's all random. i feel that not much effort is put into it. but it's ayu's work i will respect it.

i don't like how she doesn't release 23 singles anymore before an album. it kept the convo up between fans and updated interest.

also, i hate how she only releases a single with only 1 or 0 remix tracks. i liked how the singles were almost an hour of ayu-goodness remix style. now it's like 10 minutes later, the cd starts over and you're bored.

yeah, and it also irks me how her pvs are random and/or boring; ex: Pride, HEAVEN, ANGEL'S SONG, GAME, etc... they could've been SO much better.

i hate how sometimes in her performances she's actually singing off key slightly, and people on youtube comment with "omg, so much raw emotion" I guess that's not only Ayu's fault but...meh. i don't like that vibrato she does sometimes. When it sounds like she's forcing it, like when she sang Dearest i think last year or something...and the last notes she held out sounded like she was going "OoOoOoO"

1. The faces she makes in Mirrorcle World's PV... the whole "i'm fierce" thing just makes her look bad.

2. How she's getting way too boring to me now... I used to love her, but now I don't really pay attention to her... whenever I'm on AHS I'm hardly on the Ayumi forums... and it's been almost two months since I listened to a song by her.

With that being said, I still respect her as an artist

2: I think that the HUUGE amount of remixes died down because it was a trend at the time to release that many mixes on singles. I seem to remember something about it being a 'thing' during the late 90s/early years in the millenium and nowadays most artists either do live versions of songs (which I can't see avex allowing, sadly) or b-sides/one or two mixes/and of course the stock instrumental tracks.

3: To be fair, I think most of the PVs go through the director's filter and not necessarily Ayu's. I don't know for sure how much input or say she has on what her PVs show or what stories, if any, they tell - it seems like the director goes based off the song and the words and Ayu is just there to.. well, sing and dance sometimes. With "Pride" the director was American, I think? And that style of PV is kind of the norm for a ballad of American pop stars (or at least the ones I can remember - not many music videos tell stories over here, it's basically just the singer dancing around or flailing dramatically in the rain or fog or something). As for the other PVs - well I can't think of what to say because I thought they were either too weird (ANGEL'S SONG lol) or a bit mellow (HEAVEN, though even that has a bit of a point if you think about it [not that I'm saying you aren't!]) but yeah, I guess since it was a slow song they didn't want to add too much by the way of story or pacing.

I'm not trying to argue with you or attack you, by the way, I just wanted to address some things

i actually don't like that too much. I think it can be done overboard, you know? Maybe stick to a color theme or if it's a ballad, wear something softer or something... But if an artist is truly a good musician, they don't have glamour up with some cheesy themes, they'll sing and be appreciated.
One thing i wish Ayu didn't do is waste so much on her pver the top performances. I used ot love them but, i say keep all that in the mvs, maybe leaving some of the laid back stuff to perform. When she does the whole dancing and playing around with the guys, and the pole stuff, i don't care, but if she's dressing like pirate or on a balcony in a elizabethan dress and wig, singing to her man, that's just too much. Oh and, the worst is when she sings ourselves in that ugly metal suit. I love her creativity, hate how it can translate into overthetop performance that is just a waste of money that could go elsewhere.

it's not that I don't like GUILTY tho, even the rockish tracks. but MY ALL is the best

i think that the super popish tracks are so early 2000s for her. I like the rock. She sings better. The pop songs make her do that ugly chipmunk voice. An artist must be able to set and stabilize trends in the music industry.
