Im so outdated nowadays to MW chart performances.
I didn't expect that MW was existed in the charts for 14 weeks!
Good job, Ayu!

BTW, boybands seems dominated both singles and album charts nowadays.

Well when ayu was the most popular artist in Japan she had some albums out of the top 10 yearly and they sold great over a million and 2 millions.

As GUILTY sold over half a million, it did great!

yeah ^^, BEST FICTION might sell more than GUILTY, but I don't think it will sell more than A BEST 2 ~White~ did.

and no, there are boybands who have HUGE single sales, but their albums flop ^^

I always wondered why boybands' singles sell super well. Sometimes, over a million. But their album sales are always pretty bad..

That's when quality talks lol the fangirl won't pay much money for the full albums, but for the hits they will pay whatever they got.

I was expecting this week to sell around 500 given sales the week before last. I don't really see how the trajectory of MW's sales is going to change the next few weeks given this week's unexpectedly (IMO) low sales.

Albums in Japan are very expensive and usually include content from singles. I think most fans of boybands are teens or pre-teens who can't really afford to shell out 3k yen for an album at one go but can stagger their spending by buying singles. But it's really odd that female singers have great album sales and so-so single sales in general.

Well not in albums as well, after ayu's and kumi's albums will be out of the top 10 there will be only 2 female albums in the top 10 (ayaka's and hikki's).
Boybands just rule it.
Though most doing better in singles.

Yeah but at least none of them are from JE. Since some are even ayu's label mates, i suppose it's ok. Sort of.
