They hired a lot of models that lived in Japan. One of the models gave their account of the entire thing in her blog. She was South American I think, but lived in Japan.

Also, it's highly possible that the cost of the PV was so high because they didn't rent out a club, but rather, they built the set from scratch. I'm sure there are more details in the MTV-made making of my name's WOMEN. Perhaps someone should uh, watch it.

Most of ayu's PVs' places are built only for PV shoting, and there was only one place.

So, maybe all this can make it expencive but it looks cheaper than it is.

Actually, I think it's the reverse of that. It looks "cheap" [as in not too expensive.. in a positive way.] but is much more expensive than we expect.

it was never the club..think of...for that amount you could build your own one

fro fairyland it was(...besides the burning thing in a forest XD) surely that all the people around her (let it be 200 in complete) had to get to hawaii and to stay theer fro at least 1-2 days and so on and so forth

fairyland cost a lot due to architecture and stuff. Though I do wonder if they completely burned the house down or if it's still there...

It could still be there. If someone from Hawaii went searching.. maybe they could find it.

Why My Name's Women is so expensive is interesting... I mean, many Ayu PV's seem way more expensive than that, even Endless Sorrow, Mirrorcle World and others

Many of Ayu's more expensive looking PVs imo, rely extensively on CGI.

Endless sorrow is sort of an example of this. Sort of.

I was also surprised to find out on wikipedia that my name's WOMEN cost about 1 million. I guess the reasons some people gave like building the club from scratch is legit but if it's that expensive, it should have multiple wow factors which i didn't get. And the 1300 round trip to hawaii, i think that's economy price. They probably flew at least business =O

Well, wow factor #1 was the massive amount of people used in the PV, and wow factor #2 was that everything was probably made specially for the shoot [jewelry maybe not, but perhaps clothes and stuff or lack thereof..]

Do you have the link to that blog? Although, it would be a pretty old entry if it's still there. And I've watched the making, I just don't understand a single thing they say.

To be honest, I also think that the outfits of Ayu, Etsu and Chiharu where quite expensive too. But yeah, if you watch the Making of you see the club is just a set.

So her most expensive PVs are my name's WOMEN, JEWEL and fairyland.

^ Yea it wasn't an actual club that they rented out; it was a set so they built it to look like one.

I'm not sure, they could be worth a lot but I think most of the costs comes from the equipment and decorations. Club decorations and equipment (lights, platforms, glass cups, etc) sometimes end up being more expensive than the club itself
