^ Well no one was really expecting Shuuchishin to cause such a close race. Pretty good that she beat them seeing as their single went on to sell 400k+

Also Mirrorcle world had four versions (six if you include the regular CD+DVD) so that had to have helped sales a bit. If it was just released in the regular CD/CD+DVD format I can see it selling around the same as B&D/Pride.

I totally agree. When ayu was at her peak...that's when she produced the best songs. Besides having such a busy schedule, she still managed to compose her songs. I hope ayu won't waste these 2 months doing just photoshoots...>.> Please work on new songs!

i guess we'd have to walk a while in ayumi's shoes before we can say "she's doing to little" or "it's not amazing enough" i doubt many people would go that strong for 10 years! girlfriend is tired. a dear friend died. her right ear won't ever recover. everybody is expecting sosooo much from her. she is ONE girl, not a band. all the pressure on her alone.

but all she really needs is a long break. something to recreate and get new ideas. but even if she released every month a new single people won't be satisfied, because she is recycling her lyrics too much these days.

and doing such a long tour is more work than you and i will ever know. i want her to slow down and take care of herself.

aah, and as expected, avex is recycling all her stuff now, that always is a good way to get moneys. a best 2, single collection, ayumix... haha, but i wouldn't mind more remixes *______* watch out for a boxset of live shows.

I guess if you have every single she has released. It will make this release less of a worthwhile purchase for you, But what you don't realize is many people do not own all of her singles. So they are going to jump at the chance to own this album, Exspecially with all the extras you get with it.

I really couldn't image a better release for her 10th anniversary besides a new album. Which i think it is far to early for a new album anyway. I believe most of you are just upset that there isnt going to be a summer single. Which can be a good thing as there will be more fresh tracks on her new album.

EDIT: I am a HUGE fan of rock so GUILTY is my fav album behind (Miss)Understood...

Actually we're getting only one song for each single...and the two DVDs are pretty pointless because you can already get them (most of it anyway). Now it would have been awesome if they had released new vids from the A-Nation. Or at least more vids. A lot of stuff is the same as from the original A-Nation DVDs. I wanted monochrome and stuff. xS

@sitara: On her alone? She's got a record company and composers lol. Get some composers on the job, hit the studio for a week and bingo new single.

Ummm, that sounds fishy to me actually. I'm almost sure avex did something fishy about MW's sales so that her 10th anniversary single is sure to get #1. She got a few #1 through the week, but she was mostly #2. That other band's sells were higher than hers. Than, miraculously, her sales suddenly went up on the last day.

If it didn't happen, Ayu would've been #2 for sure because there was only a difference of 5000 copies!

It's probably not avex that did it. It was probably the fans.

Same thing happened with AAA, if I recall correctly. It's not really bad anyway, since Shuchishin ended up selling like 3 times as much.

^ yep could've been the fans, because ayu recently went public about her deafness of the left ear back in January, so that could've also contributed to the sale decrease..but who knows

MW had one more day on the chart than all the other singles, therefore, one more day of sales. When other singles where just starting, she was already on her Day 2, so of course she had more.

I'm surprised at all the negativity toward A COMPLETE to be honest. I mean, HOW could you not expect something like that? It's the thing to release on a 10th anniversary, 10 years worth of songs in one convenient little package. It would have been more perfect if she didn't just release A BEST 2, but still, it's more of a collectors item than a serious music contribution.

I had the idea of an A COMPLETE for the end of her career, aka all albums, but this sort of throws that idea out the window.

tbh, this is a terrible idea just as COMPLETE CLIP BOX was because it'll end up being "not so complete" in the future.

Still, it's not really meant to be taken as a serious next musical step, it strikes me way more as something for a collector or a newer fan to be drawn too. Especially a newer fan, there's 10 years worth of her songs right there in one place. It saves having to search endlessly for her old singles, especially the ones from the very start of her career.

It doesnt have the PVs nor B-sides nor all A-sides so basically if you're a collector you still have to get everything and if you're a new fan and want to see all her stuff you still need to get everything =/

Only ayu..(partly AVEX)...that really knows what's going on and keep the 10th Anniversary surprises (if there's any..i believe there is !!)) on their sleeve..!!
As a fan, i honestly expect more...
But I just love her on everything she's done...including this AMAZING 10th Anniversary year!!

Although i had a bit disappointed on NO concert in Singapore or Indonesia this year, it would be cheaper and easier for me to watch her in Southeast Asia region than going to HK, TW or SH ..-.-

Fans who have everything aren't going to want to buy it unless there's something new with it, marketing strategy, makes perfect sense.

2 well known things =P

1. It's oricon who counts the sales themselves, therefore no one can manipulate the numbers (not avex as well) or the positions. It's totally baseless...

2. The sales didn't miraculously went up, there was a whole sudden promotion for the single a day before the sales rose, and gifting with it at the tour venue.
A day after all that the sales rose, it's not really surprising.

To add a release can be #1 just 1 day and be #2 the rest of the week and still get #1 weekly.

For examle Single A sell on the first day: 70,000 and is #1, Single B sell on the first day 10,000 and is #2. The rest of the week Single A sell 2000 and being #2 and Single B sell 5000 the rest of the week being #1.
Single A will be #1 weekly even though it was #1 just one day.
(and MW was like 3 days #1 not just 1 day).

Bits me why it so hurts that Mirrorcle World gained rightfully and not surprisingly the #1 weekly spot.

A collection of songs that people already have by themselves isn't going to sell as well as a collection of songs with previously unreleased "limited" material.

So what if it's previously unreleased? I'm saying that it doesn't make sense that TeamAyu's FC live and a-nation stuff is being added to a collection of singles. It doesn't add up at all.
