The way I see it, Ayu's using her 10th anniversary not to bang into the new, but to celebrate the old. Although, there's nothing wrong with that, I can sort of see why some fans are scrambling around for something that's new something that's energetic. There's something we have to remember. Most of us aren't in Japan. Most of us can't see what's going on with tours and stuff, so all the energy she pours into them, we miss because we're so far away.

Ayu's mama had to totally convince her. tbh, I don't think you know how powerful Ayu is in avex. I'm pretty sure she gets to do w/e she wants. This is a situation in which I give Ayu TONS of credit.

If this was the case, she would've released A COMPLETE back in April instead of Mirrorcle World, the half-single.

It's basically the same as last year's with a different Hong Kong venue and an extra show in HK and Taiwan.

However, the amount of shows increased from 16 to like, 32.

I'm not sure, sure we were expecting seasonal singles, a great album, and tons of promotion, but it only been half the year. I was luck eneugh to see a preformance of the tour and I must say I enjoyed myself. I think fall and winter will be some thing to remember.

Those rumors are baseless and sound like an excuse for why some releases are #1. It's pretty pointless to think that avex has anything to do with oricon's countings.

I'm not saying that Avex for sure manipulated the numbers, but Oricon manipulation is certainly not unheard of. And Avex isn't the only one, Johnny's control of Oricon is notoriously talked about in Japan.

Yes, that's true. I'm happy to just be getting the stuff though.

btw, I want to commend you for taking up the non popular stance on Ayu and for trying to defend it against all the opposition! Not that I want people to criticize her or anything, but for those that haven't been around very long truehappiness always always always defended only pro Ayu positions.

As for a 10th anniversary year, I think it is a bit disappointing and I never like the she needs a break excuses (even though it seems she has been taking more and more breaks the last couple of years), she's not as young as she used to be (she's not even 30 yet), she's on tour etc. etc. Yes, even with a slower release pace she is undoubtedly still living a comparatively busy life but the fact remains, that as busy as she is, there are other artists who have been around just as long or longer that are far more busy. When taking that into account, it does make it seem like the reason for the big slow down over the last couple of years and culminating in almost a stand still this year maybe because of lack of drive on Ayu's part for whatever reason.

Examples of artists that are older, been in the business longer, and at the same time have had busier and more productive years even though they aren't celebrating anything in particular:
B'z, L'arc en Ciel, Namie Amuro, Southern All Stars (Kuwata Keisuke), Dreams Come True, Seiko Matsuuda just to name a few

Seiko is practically older than time yet has been more active than Ayu. She even was on a tv special where she performed several of her hits and she wasn't promoting anything in particular, just celebrating her career - I believe something like this is what truehappiness would like to have seen from Ayu for her 10th Anniversary.

That's also not even taking into account Johnny's groups and the H!P girls who work more year round than probably any other artist. I'm surprised Arashi haven't all died yet, seriously.

I'm not saying that Ayu needs to or should be performing the same schedule as these artists, but that I'm sure the reason for the slow down is not because she is getting older, trying to rest her voice (she wouldn't even do a tour if that were her goal), etc etc.She could be performing at the level of those artists this year if she wanted to. But it just seems to me that she simply doesn't want to and has lost some of that drive and passion that she used to have and all the other reasons given by fans are simply excuses. I hope that Ayu finds something that will reinvigorate her passion again.

Ayu should take her time nicely and produce songs. I believe that slow work produce sleek products.
