After the farce that was Guilty, i think they will. They may charge us an extra $2 for it but i think they cannot tolerate all the singapore fans clamouring through the hotlines, asking about the photobook again.

Most of you are acting like this is a brand new concept. Stuff along the lines "i don't like the idea of A Complete". Newsflash: It's not an idea. It's a given. Especially if you are familiar with the japanese music scene, this practice is done by almost every singer in japan. I think the biggest problem is A Best 2 being released last year. Personally, i think it would have been better if AB2 was released after her 7th album (My Story) as a single version, not black and white. Then this 10th anniversary release will not make some of us feel like we are being taken advantage of.

I want to own this 10th anniversary memorabilia of ayu's. I also think that many of the AHS A Complete detractors will be taken by surprise at the sales volume of this album. There's a chance i may be wrong of course and this will flop and japanese fans will feel cheated as well, but i think the pop culture there is not like that. No offense to anyone. Let's just see how it goes from 10/9 onwards

Well, I like the idea of A Complete, but somehow I feel that it's too soon for a new compilation, especially it's only 1 year plus after A Best 2, with only 1 album in between them.

But personally, I think A Complete would sell, maybe not as good as Best Fiction by Amuro Namie but definately better than Otsuka Ai's Ai am Best...
(Well, if you have roughly notice the trend, why compilations sell in this way is because of the following factor...

- People in Japan normally by the idea of commemeration...
(eg. the idea of closing of a chapter in their career: A Best, Nakashima Mika's Best, Ken Hirai's Best, Koda Kumi's Best ~First Things~...)

- (This is the more important reason) A hot new single was released and is only captured in the compilation album (especially for female artistes)!
(eg. M for A Best, 60 70 80's for Best Fiction <Namie>, Glamourous Sky for Best <Nakashima Mika>, Promise & Hot Stuff & Butterfly & ... for Best ~First Things~ <Kumi>

[Okie, for this part, GRACE pointed out something that I didn't make it very clear...
I didn't mean something like... "Oh, looking back from now, M was on I Am... and A Ballads also"

I mean, let's say an artiste release a single, (let's call the song "C") on 2008.10.10 and the single sells one million copies...
Then the artiste says "Oh I am going to put C into this compilation which is release on 2008.11.10!"
(and nobody's gonna know if C is going to be recorded in any albums or not...)

Yah... so the criterea of the single is that it was release before the compilation.]

and failure to do so include...
A Best 2 (do you think that ayumi compilation can only sell 700000 per version with a new single included? part of Me isn't excatly a new single but only a new song), Ai am Best (Ai missed out so many singles!!! just for LOVE PiECE... what a waste)

So... if we analyze the sales of A Complete using the trend...
- 10 years in the industry and still flying high is such a great accomplishment for any singer, hence this is really something to be commemrated!

- Well, but relying Mirrorcle World as the only new single to be featured on A Complete would be a real risky step. Firstly, it is some sort of a re-cut single and it doesn't sell as well as/it doesn't create as much commotion as Namie's 60 70 80's...

so I am afraid to have to come up with this conclusion that A Complete might not sell as well as Best Fiction... (I am already ignoring the materials included, which many of that in A Complete is repeated with A Best and A Best 2, while Best Fiction has almost no repeat...)

But after all... I AM STILL A DIE HARD AYU FAN!!!

I, for one, am really excited about it. I only own three Ayu albums (and A BEST 2), so this is a majorly awesome thing for me. Remember, people who are disappointed because you own all the albums, just because you do doesn't mean that everyone else owns them too

I like the idea of the A Complete. I never buy singles but now I can have them all. Though it's not the same as owning all of the singles and.

Hmm.. Somehow it's a waste of money to buy this if you have all these songs already. But at least A Complete comes with aDVD and photobook. And it's a nice thing to have if you are a collector person.

as in... when M was released, it was recorded in A Best immediately (leading people to think that "Oh... M's gonna to be on this album only..." this kind of feelings...)

There's one thing I'm afraid of: if Ayu releases A Complete there won't be any need for another A BEST or any other compilation album because all of her best songs (well, most of them) are in that box. Could this mean that Ayu has no intentions of releasing another A BEST?

Hanabinokisetsu, you make me quite nervous for the results of A Complete. But this is purely an anniversary compilation, not a Best compilation. I'm sure ayu's next Best album will be called A BEST 3. I don't know, i really hope the sales blows our socks off.

Lol i would think that people who has the singles may feel the pinch more =) I don't have A BEST so i'm not so bitter in that regard but then again with all the downloading and file sharing, i think it doesn't matter. You can have the whole ayu collection without spending a single cent (my friend gave me a DVD with all of ayu's singles up to HEAVEN including all remixes and stuff. It's like instant treasure trove). Is it more like, i want to buy it but i wish it was more worth it? I think that's more explanatory of the current sentiment. Haha just talkin' 2 myself

it's reasonable and it's cool. i mean, some artists have done crazy releases like, A-side collection, B-side collection, the Lives, the blah blah blahs... like, they weren't needed but o well right?
but i wish she could've done 10th anniversary versions to all of them. that would've felt more like an anniversary album rather than just compiling all the singles and just throwing it out there for sale.
but then again, i really don't mind! it's great. she acknowledges her work to re-release it at least.

i'm really glad she's releasing it. it'll be great for those who don't have all the singles. as for those spoiled ones who do and complain, i mean *rolls eyes* sorry but please shut up. i'm dying to get this A Complete T_T

I think releasing A BEST 2 was a bad idea considering this. It's like writing the same paper twice but with a different title each time

it seemed cheap, but then again, its not like she releases cheap miscellanous things like other artists who release "a-sides", "b-sides", "the lives", and best this and that left and right for no special reason. IF she re-recorded all the songs, THAT would've been something really really great. but... this release is just... bleh.

For me its unusefull the 3CD, I've almost all singles (except 10 more or less) all albums, so aexpect Who..10th anniversary version i have all songs in CD... For me this A COMPLETE have value because of the DVD and the package, the box and all the stuff.. And I have preordered it coz the reasons I've said and because... well its ayu... i've everything from her so the A COMPLETE won't be an exception...

I liked A COMPLETE only for DVD and photobook.
A good idea is to release a special album with some of her masterpieces rearranged like the three anniversary version's songs. With the same dvd and photobook.
But maybe there too much stuff.

I think it's a good release, Although $51.00USD over at yes asia is a bit to high for a bunch of songs i already have. So i think im going to wait until around Oct to pick it up.

It's nice for her 10th anniversary but I'm not gonna buy this
