I recommend Lee Jung Hyun. Her old music is techno, but now it's got more of an pop/urban style.

Try looking on nautiljon, it probably has most of the albums/singles you're looking for, it's in French, but you should be able to find your way around, you need an account there to access the downloads, but the downloads are all on megaupload, so I hope that's fine for you.

If you're on this forum, I assume you've already heard a good deal of Ayumi Hamasaki's works, so I'll leave her out.

My next biggest recommendation would be Utada Hikaru's music, although chances are you've heard her too. If you haven't, start with her Utada Hikaru SINGLE COLLECTION VOL. 1 compilation album. All of the tracks are wonderful, and you can decide from there if you like what you hear or not.
