Maybe its just to become more known in America.

If they do start releasing music in the US eventually, I think this is smarter. That way they\'ll at least have a little bit more recognition in the US.

OK The acting thing was confirmed as a rumor. They do have something special planned for early 2009 in the US but it has nothing to do with acting.

A JYP representative took over the mic and expressed, “We are preparing for the Wonder Girls to advance into America not as singers but as actresses next year. Park Jin Young will be leading the girls, although much more cannot be revealed until the plan has been finalized at a later stage.”

The fact that the JYP representative confirmed it is a rumor. It\'s on a few news sites that JYPE officials stated that the news was just a rumor. They do have something special planned out in early Janurary, but it is not related to becoming actors/actresses or even acting.
