MIROTIC deemed harmful to Korean youths

According to sources, the Commission of Youth Protection usually examines around 100 songs every month to see if they are harmful or detrimental to youths in Korea. But this is the first time that their scope is targeted specifically towards popular mainstream singers in Korea right now. In the last month, among the 110 songs that they have examined, 32 of them were Korean songs which was a new record in recent years. The reason for banning Mirotic was the same as Rainism in that part of the lyrics were inappropriate.

The ruling will come into effect from 4th December with the song being banned from playing on tv or radio before 10pm. The Mirotic album will have stickers affixed to them that indicates “unsuitable for people under 19 years old”. The song lyrics will have to be modified if they are going to perform this during concerts or events. Action will be taken if any of the above are flouted.

Although affected singers and their companies have expressed that they will adhere to the ruling, they can’t fathom the reasoning behind the ban.

Industry critics feel that this will only heap more misery on the already suffering music industry. And one wonders if the “19-only” stickers restricting the sale of affected albums will actually have any effect. DBSK for example are already done with promoting Mirotic and are actually in the midst of promoting their follow-up song Wrong Number. With album sales already exceeding 300,000, it also means that most of their fans have already gotten the album already.

A Disney-friendly Korean music industry in future? Hope not.

You have failed in protecting Korean youths. 300,000 plus albums of MIROTIC have already been sold. These songs have already infiltrated the minds of young Koreans.

こんばんは。
本日は、NHKにてMUSIC JAPANの収録で東方神起です。

今日は、早くも、1月のシングルより、Boleroを歌唱します。
テレビ用なので、ちょっと短いので、、、残念なのですが、メンバーがんばって歌います!

ちょうど、コメントに「Love in the Ice」という文字が多いので、今回の「Bolero」のご紹介を。
東方神起のもう1年半くらい前になりますトリプルA面シングルの3曲目に入っていた
「Love in the Ice」。
とても人気のある楽曲で、3rd LIVE TOURでは、アンコールの最後に熱唱し、韓国語ver.もつくられました。
作曲家は、今年デビューしたGIRL NEXT DOORのメンバーでもあります、
鈴木大輔氏です。

先日、TOHOSHINKI MOBILEのブログでもアップしましたが、メンバーと写真も撮ってますね。

今回のBoleroは、
作詞:ラムジ
作曲:鈴木大輔・冨田恵一

です。

6/8拍子の楽曲。タイトルのとおり。ドラマチックに展開する楽曲に、
メンバーのボーカルとストリングスが重なるバラードです。
全長は6分くらい、、、

なので、、、短いと分かりにくい曲なので、NHKホールで今日聞かれたみなさんは、消化不良になってしまう のでは、、、と思っています。

あさって、3日より、mu-mo、レコ直、dwango他、着うた®サイトで配信開始。
全部聞けるのは、ラジオと有線が今週末あたりからになる予定です。

Good evening.
Today was the recording of NHK Music Japan for 東方神起

And today, the new single [Bolero] for January was broadcast to all to listen.
Unfortunately, the program was a little short but the members would still continue singing.
Good Luck to them!

I want to comment on "Love in the ice" because of all the songs in "Bolero" are soon to be introduce.
It had been just a year and a half ago that "Love In the ice" was on the Triple-A-single tracks.
In the very popular tour, 3rd LIVE TOUR, the members sung it enthusiastically during the encore and a Korean ver had also been made of it.
The composer, Daisuke Suzuki had too made his debut this year as a member in GIRL NEXT DOOR.

Recently, TOHOSHINKI MOBILE are still updating in blogs, but please do remember to take photos with members too.

A 6/8 time songs like the title is to be expanding dramatically in the music industry.
The members vocal and ballad overlaps well.
The overall length for this song is about 6 minutes...

So, i think that if everyone were to hear the short version of the song that was sung today, would be difficult to understand. NHK would be asking everyone in the hall today that if it was acceptable to hear such short version. I'm hoping it would be quite indigestion(meaning that T is hoping everyone would wants more of the new song so they could sing on the same stage again.)

(T/N: i understand what the staff is trying to say but...It was quite hard for me to repharse in this last part)

The day after tomorrow which is the 3rd of December, mu-mo, direct recording, dwango, wearing Uta ® would be having the Bolero up and going.
Do expect it to hear all the wired radio this weekend.

Ok, so does anyone remember the "boy band" days? Nsync, Backstreet Boys, New Kids On The Block, or any other group with three or more members, singing and busting out choreographed dance moves? Well, in the United States, the "boy band" era, for the most part, has faded away. But in Korea--it is as strong as ever! I couldn’t BELIEVE how HYSTERICAL people were for Korean Pop (a.k.a "K-Pop"). I spent a whole day surrounded by thousands of screaming teenage girls. I loved how excited they were to see their favorite K-Pop singers, but I think I lost most of my hearing by the end of the day. Lol. Just kiddin.

The thing that surprised me the most about some of the "adoring", "sweet", and "innocent" teenage girls was the things they SAID they would do to their pop star if they could get the chance! Lol. I was thinking "Girl! You are like, 15! How do YOU know what THAT is--or how to do that -- where the HECK is your mother!" Lol. I guess I underestimated the Korean youth.

While at the festival, I learned about all kinds of FAMOUS K-Pop bands like: Girls Generations, Shinee and a whole bunch more! But, the ONE band that I heard about every single second of the day was TVXQ, also known as: DONG BANG SHIN KI. They have a fan club of more than 800 thousand in Korea ALONE --that's not including the rest of the world!

When I told some K-Pop fans that I hung-out with TVXQ, I was immediately rushed and touched as though 'I' were them! I guess I didn't realize how FAMOUS they were at the time. Lol.

Well, if you're looking for a festival you can go to for great dancing, great singing, and lots of excitement...then I HIGHLY recommend the ASIA SONG FESTIVAL!

p.s. When I returned to the United States, I came across tons of blogs asking about a particular picture with TVXQ and myself (http://fuse.tv/ontv/shows/fuse-excel...ideshow&page=9).

People were asking why TVXQ was looking so mad or confused. It was neither. During the time of this picture, I was talking to my producer regarding my position in reference to the camera. Since TVXQ didn't speak English, they were just waiting for the translator (not in frame) to tell them what we were talking about. :-)

I had a GREAT time hanging out with them. They are all COOL dudes! We were laughing and joking around with each other almost the whole time. I hope I answered some of the questions that were asked. If I missed any... hit me up on my blog, and we'll talk!

It wasn't really the 'Under My Skin' part that got it banned, it was the "red ocean" and "crystals" supposedly representing the hymen and semen that got it banned.

Really I read in an article that ‘Jumun’, ‘nol kajjeosso’, then ‘i got you under my skin’ were pointed out as inappropriate by that Youth Protection Group. There were others but those were the ones mentioned.

VAL, actually the new version of MIROTIC means only changing the lyric, because it's all about the lyric that matters to the Commission of Youth Protection.. so i don't think there will be a new version of MIROTIC in the term of music arrangement..but yeaa who knows!!! they will release the version like on MKMF08 in next repackaged album..

They should concentrate on forcing the kids to go to friggin school rather than skip school to go to TV show recordings! Jeez. "I got you under my skin" is the best line from the song and how it's suggestive sexually...well you gotta read into it WAY too much. Morons. MIROTIC sucks now. Forever bound to listening to the CD and new live performances are gonna be awful. TVXQ's Fourth Album Breaks 460,000 Copies

TVXQ's fourth album has broken their sales record with 460,000 copies, taking the throne for CD sales. TVXQ's company announced on the 4th that the fourth album "Mirotic" had broken 460,000 copies. According to information provided by SM until 11-30, online sales had reached 163,346 copies, while offline sales had reached 303,468 copies, making total sales 466,814 copies.

This year's highest record sales by TVXQ is one that no one can catch up to, proving once again their power continued from 2006, when they took the highest CD sale records for the second time.

The 300,000 copies of their fourth album preorders were not just from Korea, but also from Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and other such Asian countries, taking over CD sales charts and showing TVXQ's power. TVXQ said, "Receiving everyone's love after coming back with another album in 1 year and 7 months is something we're really happy for. Right now we want to thank everyone who's supported us."
