Ayu's songs you can't stand

I like all ayu's songs especially her earlier works..
But today, i can't stand "until that Day"... It reminds me of Madonna....

I can't stad young ayu's high pitched singing voice...

in LOVEppears her voice sounds way better.

The first album from ayu i listened was Miss understood ,and still remains as my favorite. The cd has sooo much variety and is its beautiful indeed i think is her best album so far, amazing in many ways

I don't get the hate against friend... that was the first song ayu recorded and i find the lyrics amazing, since the song describes - so precisely as if the song was written for me- a very meaningful episode in my life, somehow i think ayu and i went trough the same thing, and the song is vey special to me

the songs i don't like from ayumi are:

I not so much hate as I am disappointed by these songs...

still alone: This songs goes on for too long and the more she sings the more intensely uncomfortable her voice gets.

a song is born: I think the composition could've been a lot better and the lyrics weren't really all that interesting for me, unfortunately. It's a nice song to sing, though.

everywhere nowhere: This song starts out excellently, but it all goes to **** when it starts turning into a pop song. If it had stayed with the eerie feeling and added rock music instead of pop I think this song could've been good.

Close to you: The opening melody is nice, but it just goes downhill from there as it starts to feel worn and boring.

ANGEL'S SONG: This song is way too bubblegum pop for me and the way they edited her vocals during the bridge was just horrible. It's disappointing, because this song has good lyrics and melodies.

Greatful days: There's something about this song that is just so "blah" and bothersome. I haven't liked it from the start and I'll probably never really like it in the future. I think the chorus melody could've been used for a better song.

HOPE or PAIN: Her voice goes so high in the chorus that sometimes it makes me twitch and shiver a little bit. Also, the song doesn't have a strong and interesting composition to keep me interested in it enough.

Replace: This is the only song of Ayu's whose melody I always forget. I think this is one of the most forgettable Ayu songs ever, since there's not really anything great about it.

Beautiful Fighters: Oh dear god, this song is lame. It kinda sounds like it's trying to be Hikki's "Keep Tryin'" just for girls, but it fails miserably. It doesn't help that Ayu's constantly saying the same annoying thing over and over again in the background. This is definitely the low point of Secret (and yes, I do quite enjoy Born To Be... I think the lyrics are really inspiring and uplifting).

GUILTY: I love this song. I'm just really, really disappointed at how unstructured it sounds. A little instability is refreshing and it works sometimes (e.g. M, Free & Easy), but here it ends up leaving me expecting more. There really isn't any sort of flow to this song, but I like it somehow anyway.

By the way...I don't get all the Bold & Delicious and Born To Be... hate. Can someone explain to me why people don't like these songs without just saying "it sucks" or something like that?

I really like Born To Be... 'cause the lyrics are so inspiring and they fit really well with the Olympic theme. This song always reminds me that I'm here to follow my dreams and to never give up. Bold & Delicious is one of the most unique songs Ayu's ever made and the lyrics are just so joyful! They just make me want to get up and shout. I fall in love with Ayu all over again when I hear her singing "sakende!", "agete!" and the verses are just really lovely. I've honestly never been able to understand why people hate B&D so much! It's not one of my favorites of all time, but it's definitely an excellent song!

so why? they're cheesy, embarrassing to play out loud, overrated, boring, generic, and/or annoying.

You know,you should be more respectful about what you say, because some of us (many of us, actually) enjoy the songs you find "boring"

As I can't really fill my post with songs I "can't stand, because that leaves very few songs of her discography espcially if I include remixes (I think there are only two songs I absolutely would never like to listen to if I get a free choice with remix versions and yes this includes ASFXX), I will try to explain as I don't really like either of the songs.

BOth songs are simply very loud and noisy!

There is too much percussion and chanting going on all the time. I've gotten more used to B&D and don't really dislike it that much anymore, but BTB is a song I will never be able to digest I think.

I agree it has its uses, at a stadium maybe just the chorus playing once at a distance. I quite like the melody of BTB separately. However to me it's like it hits my brain again and again with the drums, high tones and strings untill it's unbearable.

Also, ayu's voice is not really perfectly fit for the chanting gospel sound. I love her voice and could listen to it in this setting, but it's not a perfect match bein very high pitched, crispy and "thin".

Another thing that's a little foreign with this song is the über happy yahoo feeling it projects. It's not a bad thing, but it's not something ayu usually does. It's a bit like greatful days to me, too happy cheese.

she's just being honest, this thread is after all, all opinion.

I just figured out that...I can't stand talkin' 2 myself...

and not because it sucks or anything, its actually one of her better newer songs...it's just...ever since I watched Asia Tour this morning...it's been stuck in my head. omg. will. not. go. away. and now it's getting on my nerves lol I may never listen to it again
