about the band's music...

is it really live???

because... i've never heard about a guitar that plays without electricity before lol
always for other western artists guitars are plugged in with cables and all...
i don't know if you understand me...
but guitarsists don't move far away because of cables in general... no?
also before we could hear ayu 's background voice... the one in the instrumentals...
so my question : do they playback music ?
specially guitar (yoshio?)
because sometimes it sounds so fake....

and...

how come in a-nation'08, for a song for xx, under the rain, we could still hear clearly the guitar?
no glitch under the rain ? guitar & water ? how come ??

If you're talking about the DVD, I'm pretty sure they fix the sound.
They do that for some DVD's so that the watcher can hear the music more clearly

Well never saw those wireless guitars for french bands lives, they carry their cables around ^w^ but I made "a lot" of japanese live in France, and surely except Plastic tree and maybe Merry they all are wireless, and trust me it is not fake at all ^w^ I mean the guitar sound, Dir en grey, The gazette, Kagerou, *insert here those I forget lol*.... all were wireless and no playback. when you are in a live you can easily say if it's playback or real sound. After yeah they edit and mix the sounds for the DVD or you wouldn't like much the live sound from DVD.

yes, many bands use wireless guitars, especially with big stages(cdl 07/08)
and it is live, it sometimes sounds playback cause a) it was edited for the dvd or b) yo-chan just plays very good, hes a pro and im quite sure the other members are, too

There is a guitar you can play without the use of an amp or the like. It's called an acoustic guitar lol. You could play an electric guitar without electricity too, but the difference is quite clear in the sound. Since it's an electric guitar you'd obviously need electricity. As for the cables, most guitars can go wireless now. It's the only other explanation. Not just for Ayu's band but for other bands I've seen live on DVD. They cannot possibly be playing a recording, although that was the case waaayyy back in the day.

well actually the guitars aren't wireless themselves ya know..

It's the same as a wireless microphone, except that the transmitter is built into the microphone.
With a bass/guitar, you plug the instrument into a transmitter which sends the signal to a receiver, that usually sits on top of the amplifier it's connected to ...
The transmitter is like a lil box usually worn on the waist... unlike what Ayu has on her waist, that lil decorated box, which is a receiver, where her in-ear monitor is plugged in to, so she can hear her voice and the music better while on stage.

and you can play electric guitars in the rain just fine... but it's just annoying getting wet while playing
