Sorry about this arguement, some people just keep thinking that they are the logical ones, the rest of the world are illogical. If you guys realise, it's always the same people complaining.. They should get off the net if everything else is not up to their standards.

Are you sure? I'm 100% Asian and I think fish mouth is annoying. So as an asian, I am pretty insulted when you said that. If you want to talk culture or tradition, I don't see fish mouth taking part in any of that as well. I think it really is up to an individual's taste, regardless of race, or whatever.

There are a lot of generalizations going on. Firstly, ayu_fantasy, saying that Asians like/don't mind the fish mouth cannot be true, because you are using your one opinion to span all of Asia. It can most certainly be proven wrong, and anyone could dig up one of her magazine shoot threads and find an Asian person that complained about it. It is also entirely off topic from the thread.

Now, I have read all 14 pages worth of this thread and have found that no one who disliked the PV flamed those who like it, but it most certainly has been the other way around. Furthermore, no one has said most of the things people have claimed the "haters" have said. Putting words into others' mouths does not help your argument.

Also, many of the people who dislike the PV have not criticized her previous PVs, so it is unfair to say they repeatedly do so. And even if they did it is their right to voice their opinion. Sure, there may not be a point for them to continue being on AHS if Ayu has disappointed them long enough, but no one has the right to tell them to leave.

And most of the people who dislike it from what I have seen haven't said it is a hurtful way. And to claim that they are not true Ayu fans or should not be allowed to continue to voice their feelings is bogus just because they don't like her PV. If you are allowed to say you loved the PV 4 times then someone should be allowed to say they hate it 4 times. It's unnecessary either way, though.

Bottom line is that everyone has the right to voice their opinion, and everyone is allowed to say it as many times as they want. But don't start claiming other people are "illogical" because they don't agree with you or defend their argument.

Hey sugarbasil, maybe I make too much generalisation about the Asian thing.

I can accept negative opinions too.... But some opinions here are way too strong, it's almost sacarsm and mockery. So in this way is it correct??

I don't like picking fights here... But some keeps saying that they have the rights to criticise and don't even mind their tone.

There are strong opinions on both sides, and both sides have succumbed to sarcasm and mockery; though I personally think things may sometimes SOUND like sarcasm on the net when they actually aren't, especially when fallen on persons with biases (this refers to everyone).

At any rate, instead of fighting or flaming, if anyone ever has a problem with the way someone said something, report the post and the mods will deal with it ASAP in the future. If you feel it's out of line, report it. And PM me if you still want to talk about this.

Let's use this thread to discuss the PV now, not people's opinions.

BTW, I'm totally loving the zoom in camera effects.

Seriously, this happens EVERY TIME anything Ayu-related comes out. Ayu is such a diverse artist over her career that certain aspects of her persona/style attract different people with different expectations. I LOVE the GREEN PV, but thought that Days was boring. Oh well. Arguing amongst ourselves doesn't get us, as fans, anywhere. Discussions, sure, because it lets us understand each other more, but outright arguing is just a pain to read and clutters everything. It's been expressed over and over again, so maybe I'm beating a dead horse here, but, newsflash, some people like this PV, some people don't. It happened last time and it will happen next time. Whether you like it or not does not give you the right to curse out those with opposing opinions. (Like I've seen a couple of times in this thread)

Sugarbasil already covered the generalizations, so I won't go there. But please guys, we don't want half of this tread to end up in the trash because feelings are getting heated. Be kind to the server and take a breath if you have to. =)

With that being said...in comparison to that ---insert the lovely term for dog crap here--- Rule is the better PV.

(And Kuu fans, please refrain from referring to the Ayu-ken technique as seizure inducing. Ayu already has a video dedicated to that. It's called Born to Be...)

Sorry, but JUST THE WAY YOU ARE is better imo. And that's coming from someone who hated her no longer than a year ago.

JUST THE WAY YOU ARE has many more shots going on, making it less boring. But it's really not comparable, because JUST THE WAY YOU ARE is a feel good slow/med tempo song, and Rule is a fierce energetic song so obviously they're going to have two different types of PVs. And it sounds like you just don't like JTWYA because it's not your piece of cake. But from a subjective point of view, JUST THE WAY YOU ARE is better. Some shots are done really nice & artistic (like in the restaurant, the lighting). In Rule it's just some generic shots with hardly any thought behind it, except the shot with the blue bird on the plate thing. And the strange zoom ins/zoom outs of the second chorus look like the director found a cool new button in the program he's using and decided to get all excited with it for that part.

And About You was actually the PV I was thinking of as an opposite to that while I was writing my original message! Her older PVs had more going on, more different scenes, more variety. Nowadays it just seems like her PVs keep falling into this pattern of Ayu doing one thing for over a minute at a time. Boring.

I love the haters arguments here. The only thing they can come up to say back is "I'm so mature, I hate this video. Deal with it, learn to accept differing opinions". Lol okay. I can accept that people don't like this video, but to be honest that wasn't my whole point. I see people complaining a lot on this board, even about the most stupid tiniest things. It's like - you're always out to find the worst in Ayumi Hamasaki. To me that's not what a fan is. But I guess it's just a lot of the people here, their personalities or something.

@ ayu_fantasy: Sorry, but the Asian point is just invalid! I'm Asian too and I don't exactly like her fish-mouth... there may be some shots when I think it's okay, but most of the time... nah. So I mean, I hope all the arguments are done and over with... it's just a PV. Let's relax!
