I think around m(u) her PVs became more 'outstanding' (think, glitter and gloss) and a lil less meaningful and interesting... which is a strange thought isn't it? I dont think I could explain myself though
 only a lil though

Up until about 2006ish/2007 she did. Since then her PVs have varied between bad (born to be) and slightly above average - most have been average at best though. It's been a long time since she has had a truly truly great PV.

Namie's is also good. i don't really like kumi's one :l did anyone see her showgirl PV ?

I think Ayu's recent PVs are better than her earlier ones. However, I think most of Ayu's PVs are not great, as in they are entertaining but not spectacular. I usually watch her PVs because she's hot as well as other artists. Yes, I am shallow.
I did found myself watching the Dearest PV (Piano Version) many times before on repeat because it calms me. It's the only PV in the world that made me felt that way. Thing is, the PV really is boring, but the good kind of boring. It's the kind of boring you like to sit through and never makes you yawn. ^_^
