I was never into ayu's interludes (well except the ones in RAINBOW). I only like the introduction on every single album. AND I dun really mind the number of interludes.

Everyone has their own points. I dun see the problem for those who wanna cancel the albums (or they've already done so). Honestly being an ayu fan for 9½ years, if ayu's gonna release a new album, I will just buy it no matter what. It's my way to show my support (BTW, I'm totally not saying those who dun buy ayu stuff don't support her at all!! Even if you dun buy it, probly it just means you want something better from her, that's all). If the album is great, I'll treat it as my bonus. If it's not good enough for me, at least there are several tracks that I will like in that particular album.

So let's calm down and stop bashing each other. The Sekai of Ayu should be peaceful . And I still put my high expectation on this album .

If this album has those elements in it or even just a slight hint of them, I think I'll be left with a good impression. More importantly, people should just take the album for what it is and not expect too much or too little out of it; otherwise I think they're just setting themselves up for a surprise.
Well I didn't really like RAINBOW at much in the beginning... But one day I listened to the whole album and found out that the tracks flew really well with each other... And that's very very artistic (and dreamy) to me . Even though I don't think RAINBOW as my top ayu albums, it still has its special place within the discography.

I hope ayu will see the Japanese posts and realize a lot of ppl don't like having 4 interludes. Although I don't like the amount of interludes in this album, but I'm still looking forward to the new songs coz I know ayu is experimenting/ trying something new. I'm happy NEXT LEVEL is not a dark album like secret and GUILTY.

*shrugs* I like interludes. But I find it really interesting that when Ayu is hurt or overworked people get so worried and talk about her taking care of herself and not straining her voice and such. Here she's putting out less songs with vocals and all people do is complain. Give her a break. At least she's working way more than American artists here, who happen to take forever to spin out new material. Singing and entertaining is her career but she's got a life too.

I think what most people would rather see, or at least what I would rather see, is that instead of putting something out when she is not ready or just for the sake of putting something out, she should instead take a break. I'd much rather see her rest herself and come back re-energized and re-motivated to really kick the Japanese publics arse with some awesome music that reminds them why they liked Ayu in the first place.

4 new interludes?
I think I'm practically the only person here to be -this- excited about it?
I don't see why all of you are so against this.
Personally, I find interludes great and useful for myself so I'm not going to complain about any of this, for all I care, she could release a whole album of interludes! LOL <3

i'm not dissapointed either. we all know how ayu loves her interludes. and 95% of the time it works really well with the tracklist.

we still get 6 new songs and with GUILTY we only got 5. (not counting mirror).

i'm still hella excited for this album since i love everything so far (except for Days ugh)

I guess it's because some people might feel short changed in that they expected to get 10 new songs instead of 6 new songs

^and that people don't like the fact that there were also 4 interludes in GUILTY, so basically another GUILTY is what some are saying NEXT LEVEL is likely to be...

i agree, i'd rather wait another 4 months or however long it would have taken to have a "complete" album.

now i cant help but wonder if these interludes were meant to be songs but she just ran out of time? i mean i guess ayu still has a lot of pull in avex and if she wasnt comfortable with putting something out she wouldn't have done so (maybe..)

however i think this will have some kick ass pv's coming out of this album, so im excited

*oh, and i've heard pieces of energize, love'n'hate, disco-munication (those are the ones I chose to download on my phone) and they sound very interesting. but i'm not uploading any due to time restrictions and i lost the program that i recorded them on before...don't remember what it was called xD

oh, and there's some clapping in "EnergizE" and she says:

"put your hands/heads up together,
keep your hands/heads up together,
let me sing (think?) forever,
da la da la da la da la"

i couldn't understand it 100% for sure, but that's the basics i guess, hahaha.

I think ayu should probly try releasing an album with no intro + interludes next time.. I would be curious to see what the reactions will be (let's say... 11 tracks, with 5 single songs + 6 new songs).

^Sometimes I dun even know if ayu was rushing the album out. Back then she could release LOVEppears in Nov 1999, then Duty on Sep 2000. And she could release I am in Jan 2001, and RAINBOW in Dec of the same year. And back then she got more to do... more magazine shots, more tours (remember AT tour and stadium tour?), more singles, more live appearances, etc. So basically it may imply that she rushed out Duty and RAINBOW as well. Who knows if she wrote the stuff in the very last mins as well (since she didn't write that much on the net back then)?

So I can't really judge the album quality by how much time she has spent on, and we dun really know if she just wrote the lyrics in the last few mins, or she just decided to make a big modification on the lyrics during rush times... There're too many possibilities to guess.

which I feel it's not fair to say so especially since NEXT LEVEL wouldn't be out til 2 weeks later

until then I just leave what people say as it's

, I don't mind if she were to just do 1 introduction interlude & the rest will be full standard album tracks although something tells me it might be impossibel for her to do so due to cirumstances

4 interludes? This should be considered a mini album!

Single songs are songs as well. A album with 10 full songs is considered a full length album.

There's never a thing called fair. Fair is too ideal and doesn't work in the reality. I still believe and respect other people's opinions. I find it's quite good to listen to your mind... If you (not you karen btw) dun feel liking the album before it's out, just be that... probly you'll like it later on, or probly not.

Well, she did introduce "1 introduction with no interludes" in Duty, so I dun see why she can't do that in this album. What I guess is that this could be a techno album, so why not throw some fun dance music in between the songs?

That what I think. I would sooooooo much rather have a shorter album like Duty (best album imo) just to skip those interludes. 12 tracks with only 1-2 interludes would be heaven! Why waste time to put in two extra interludes? Talk about waste! Please skip those interludes that just annoys you that they arent full songs and just keep the real songs! I would really rather have e shorter album just to get rid of those time-and-space-wasting interludes!

Lots of artists have 10 tracks full length albums, and that's quite the norm. I don't understand why so many of you are making a fuss about this... We're getting 14 tracks here, and so what if 4 of them are interludes, we're still getting 6 brand new songs. I'm just glad that she's still releasing new materials at this rate still after all these years.

4 interludes is a bit ridiculous but not unexpected since she's not been working on this album for years.

Nevertheless, if those 6 new songs are good that's sweet. I don't care that the album is short, it means she's put more effort into making every track great.

And I'm happy most of the tracks are following an electropop route, it's been a while since the guitar has not been the prominent instrument in her songs, nevertheless I hope it's still there cos it's add a heap of flare to her music.

Quality > Quantity.
