Imo, Duty is only good because of how they released the singles. It had the trilogy releasesl. Like Vogue ~> Far Away ~> Seasons make sense and It kinda served as the backbone for the whole album flow.

Unlike the last few albums which didn't have connectivity between the single releases. Ex. Secret's Startin/BtB... ~> Blue Bird/Beautiful Fighters??? Guilty's Glitter/Fated ~> T2M/Decision??? That's why they are more prone to interludes/preludes etc.

This album too, has no connectivity. Green/Days ~> Rule/Sparkle??? That's 4 different Genres. I don't mind the interludes, I love most of the others. Prays for something like... Judgement day, Not yet, Everlasting Dream, Catcher in the light, Taskinillusion, Neverending Dream, Starting over, opening Run, & Mirror.

I'm really looking forward the song Next Level. Even if everything else fails, the song can make up for the rest of album. I just love the preview. And oh yeah the singles are good too. ^.^

^I agree. The reason why her earlier albums didn't have as many interludes might be, because each album from "A Song for XX" to "RAINBOW" had a different style. "Memorial address" is like a transition and after this her albums became like a mix of her earlier styles. Take the "I am..." singles, for example, all (most) of them fit together. While with "NEXT LEVEL" she released "GREEN" and "Days" vs. "Rule" and "Sparkle".

And she could release I am in Jan 2002, and RAINBOW in Dec of the same year. Maybe your favourite is the most "rushed". Who knows? I wonder, do people actually HEAR that the seemingly rushed albums are "rushed"? Because it does seem as if some people are giving themselves excuses to not liking something (though one doesn't have to feel sorry about liking or not liking something). ayu did say herself during the TIME Asia interview that even if she's got 1 month, she starts doing the work during the last 3 days.

Yea this i agree. I listen to LOVEppears and I am... and I feel like the techno vibe is present in most of the CD (for I am...'s case its kinda the front portion but it really flows)...

She NEEDS them to make a good album. *imagines Kingdom...>.< (i really dont like the flow..but I love Kuu)*

anyway...LET'S NOT FORGET ARE YOU WAKE UP? and tasking!!!...they are one of the best interludes ever too.

(i wonder if that ayuchina guy is gonna record his super-early cd and then compile the songs again...like he did for GUILTY. I know many people hated that his voice was present but i appreciate his effort and the verse+chorus previews made me love GUILTY even more...esp the interludes..because he didnt just let us hear the 'surprise' in the interludes..)

This is quite OT... but I kinda realize quite a few of older members (people who registered before 2004 or so) participate ayu section recently (since... Rule/Sparkle?). Probly I'm too sensitive, but is it because those recent releases (Spakle, and the concept of NEXT LEVEL, etc.) reminds us about the earlier ayu?

(... or maybe my eyes were blind and didn't notice the older members being in the ayu section... For the last two years or so I mainly see lots of members registered between 2006 - 2008... Lately I've seen quite a few from 2002 and 2003 or so.. )

I dont get why people think that the people who cancelled are doing something wrong. If people are using their money id assume that they can do what they want with it. Why does she put interludes on her albums? To me that's just taking up space, that other songs could fill.

ayumisrael you probably missed understood what I said. I meant that she could have replaced the interludes with other tracks.

Anyway after I looked at the track list I see that the interludes fit.

Bridge to the sky then NEXT LEVEL - Nice Asian-influence songs

Disco-munication then EnergizE followed by Sparkle, rollin', and GREEN - Electropop songs even though rollin' doesn't sound like an Electropop and GREEN should've been group with NEXT LEVEL

Load of the SHUGYO followed by identity, Rule then LOVE 'n' HATE - all rock based songs

Lastly Pieces of SEVEN Days and Curtain call - ballads

This is how I think the album is going to go. I would have liked if there were no interludes. Disco-munication should definitely be a song.
