yeah, lets hope that! bvut i doubt it, the taxes are to maintaine the market in the country by making import more expensive and to give the country more money, right? so they won't just make it less, but they could at least make articles which are NOT buyable in europe(such as asian music) tax-free, it doesn't maintaine the market to make taxes on things you cant buy in the country anyway...and its horrible for people without much money/pupils(like me)/students, these 8 euros i had to pay extra on AT08 dvd might mean im not able to buy NEXT LEVEL in its first week

Whenever I order from YA, my stuff always comes in from Germany.. I don't know how they do it?
and since YA seems to ship it through Germany, they pay for the VAT and custom duties.. apparently
http://www.yesasia.com/global/custom...on-answer.html
plus YA seems to put a lower total value on the custom declaration form on the package than it actually is.
and also since Germany is within the EU, I don't have to pay anything extra.
As for ordering through CDJ, I've never had to pay anything extra either.
For both YA & CDJ I've always used standard shipping/SAL/Air Mail, I don't mind the wait
and I've ordered lots like cd's, dvd's, calendars, merchandise, books and posters. sometimes orders worth over €100, which came in (pretty large) boxes.

I ordered R/S and A BEST 2 (Both CD+(2)DVD) for some time ago, and it had no taxes. But now, I ordered NL and GREEN/Days (Both (2)CD+DVD), and it did cost about the same, but in the last order I got taxes of about $40, and with shipping and all it was about $80. So it ended up with over $120 >.< Maybe it is something with the size? As GREEN/Days is the first press big slipcase.. Or maybe I won something in the lucky draw (Hope!)

I hope that YesAsia don't have high taxes, as I ordered for like $100. A B4 size book, a manga, a CD (CD only), a DVD and a free, little figure.. It will not be cheap ...

YesAsia will be more risky for taxes in the future as they donīt ship over Belgium anymore. They ship directly from HK starting this month.

About your CDJ Orders, it also depends on luck if custom collects your package.

all oredrs that are send out starting March 2009 will be shipped directly from HK. That doesnīt automaticly mean that you have to pay taxes for every package, but chnaces are there. (When they shipped over belgium you never had to fear about taxes beacuse itīs in the EU)

I know you can have luck that you don't have to pay taxes, so it seems I just was really, really lucky, but....don't you have to pay taxes when importing it to Belgium?

Maybe they do/did so because its the cheapest way, and according to the law, you had to pay taxes for shipping into the eu, regardless if its in belgium or germany, so i dont see the problem

When you says that you don't have to pay taxes from EU, remember that there is oftenly a import payment instead ^^ Like on CDON.com, A BEST 2 costs like $200, just because it's import (And I am pretty shure that it is bootlegs, but whaveter XD).
