Thanks for enlightening us! Now I finally understand why DCT is so consistent (lol Ayu should try this with her next album)... hmm it's only Day 1 of Week 2, so we should wait and see.

Sucks that NEXT LEVEL has gone down to #2, but there's still time to recover, plus it doesn't matter, she has #1 for the week, so to me she's already done fantastic.

Good first week sales ^^ the sales is so close between DCT and her.. i just hope NEXT LEVEL will be No.1 for this week too. *finger crossed* breaking the 400,000 mark for this album seem kinda hard now.. but i love the album nevertheless..
btw are the encore usb shipping tomorrow? hopefully sales will rise when it does..

Shouldn't this be the 7th day of the last week since the new week starts tomorrow? Sorry if it's not, just wondering.

From CDJapan:

NEXT LEVEL's USB Edition

"Preorders processed before the first deadline will be fulfilled on April 7, and one that are processed before the second deadline will be fulfilled on April 23. Only preorders processed on February 16 will be fulfilled on March 25"

It seems that the majority of the pre-orders will be counted on 7th April (will be shown on next week's Wedneday) and on April 23rd a week afterwards on Thurstday (shown the day afterwards).

First weeks are 6 days for every release unless if it's released on a special date.
The oricon week starts on Monday (stats shown on Tuesday).

Congrats on being no 1.
But the 1st week sales is rather little, I think...

Are you saying that 1st week sales do not include the usb sales[the encore version]?

Yes, oricon can count only sales that are shipped or sold already.
CDJapan and the other sites/stores give the exact numbers after they are shipped/sold on that day to oricon.
Since both Encores weren't shipped so they will be counted when it happens.

Nah, she should release both separately and generate more sales. Because of packaging and all that, you might be able to get higher profits since you can sell both at a higher price rather than combine them and sell it at a bundled price. Really glad she got the no.1 and hope it can outsell Guilty which had a strong 2nd week but oh well, we shall see.

Cherrim, new releases only have a 6 day week since they start charting on tuesday. Weekly sales are counted from mon-sun. Sorry techno idiot qn, how do i quote multiple people in one post?

Hahaha, I just found out that not only does DCT have a version that is 2 CDs, (album + greatest hits) they have another first press edition that comes with a concert DVD. If you want the greatest hits and the DVD, you have to buy two copies. AVEX isn't the only dirty one, is it? At least with NEXT LEVEL you only have to buy the 2CD+DVD one to get all of the material (slightly different cover pictures and cd cases aside)

I wish these companies would stop resorting to such blatantly dirty tactics...

I'm glad it sold more than GUILTY in its first week. I hope it outsells GUILTY in the long run, this album deserves it. Thanks for the updates ayumisrael

she did good for the first week^^
the sales for the second week only just started so there's plenty of time for NL to rise up on the no1 spot again, so don't worry =D
and when the USB sales kick in, the record will be sky high
