Thanks for the update of the sales,of course...

I think that maybe this album has to be more promotion,(it has the song from Dragonball evolution,so it would be very helpful since I know that the film did relatevely well).A date is that this album avex didnīt do an screensaver to TeamAyu right? I didnīt know about it...

Anyone knows when the overseas sales (like the yesasia sales,the one I bought,the 2cd+DVD version) would be counted?& the CD-Japan ones?

Anyone knows if yesasia will sell the USB edition soon?

The YesAsia sales are never counted. The CDJapan ones were counted from the start. And I didn't quite get the last question about the USB, but YesAsia will most likely ship the USBs next week.

We'd have to buy the J-press for it to count toward oricon and then, only from cdjapan. As for me, i'm supporting her 'overseas success' effort... Hope her weekend sales can go into 5 figures.

Not too much of a drop today. I dun think she can pull off more than 60k this week though.

People never mention it like it's not a big number of magazines and it's at least a decent promotion. =D
IINM, more than half of those magazines promotions were put on hold due to her schedule conflicts in America.

Wasn't Utada's Exodus lacking in promotion in Japan as well? In my opinion, that's an album that sold on name (and novelty value).

I've always thought that too - that her name alone sold that album so well in Japan. That could explain why this one did badly too. A lot of people bought Exodus simply because of the fact that it was Utada and that was it and then a lot of people actually didn't like that album at all. Now they may be more wary to purchase her English language albums.

btw, I'm not sure counting digital sales really would help Ayu as some people are suggesting. According to Chaku Uta, Next Level really hasn't been doing all that well I don't think. Already in the dailies most of the songs aren't on the chart anymore. Also keep in mind that if you added in digital sales, everyones sales would look higher including several female artists whose cd sales don't usually look that great. So it might not actually be a helpful thing to want Ayu to do.

^ But lets not forget that Chaku uta is for ringtone songs or individual songs sold on cellphones. People may be buying from other sources, like itunes, to get better quality songs. But everything is only a guess at this point.

Yeah, that's why I specifically mentioned that it is for Chaku Uta cause I don't know the rankings for the other places. All I know is that usually high chaku uta rankings transfer over to high rankings at other download sources.

Well Billboard Japan factors in airplay and everything right?

This is how it looks so far

I don't see her on the Hot Top Air Play... they only show up to 20 I think.

Top Albums... unfortunately she's not on the air-play charts... nor the Hot 100... nor the Top Singles either xD;.... Well at least not in the top 20 which is visible.

ALBUMS
1->1->1 - DREAMS COME TRUE - 8,896 + 9,259 + 8132 = 26,287
2->2->2 - Hamasaki Ayumi - 8,161 + 8,939 + 7209 = 24,309
3->3->3 - Tohoshinki - 4,398 + 6,651 + 5107 = 16,156

The gap between DCT and ayu only 2K

hopefully ayu can beat them

As jbrat said, its just the top albums chart for the week - so, we already knew she was #1 for that. As jbrat mentioned though, unfortunately she isn't on any of the airplay charts.

Hopefully she'll have a weekend surge in sales, or something like that. It'd be nice if she could pull a sales-upset in her second week.
