well now that i look at it again the covers aren't that bad, i prefer the regular. LIPS is still their worst cover ever

haha at least Break the records's wise , it's more or less up there with Best of KAT-TUN . I just hope they WILL include at least a pic or 2 inside the album booklet

I was so shocked when I got the CD + DVD of QoP where there weren't any pics inside . I thought what happened

lol I actually kinda liked QoP's covers. I really like gold and silver! When I saw the booklet pics i went irl though cause like..the plastic barbie faces they all had was really weird and confused me. I know they were supposed to be action figures but still...

I frankly like the concept for QoP but yes they looked like toy figurines in there

It kinda sucks that only the CD only of the album has those pics of the guys in the sleeves & the CD + DVD doesn't have any

THOUGHTS ON THE SOLOS :

WIND - , it's probably something that Ken Hirai might sing , very chilled out lounge inspired like music

& of course the credit has to go to Junno for writing/composing his 1st solo on whole which's commendable

great stuff

PIERROT - I don't know why Tanaka's new solo made me laugh for some reasons LMAO

but other than that , I like it , it's so bad ass & it's just good 'ol Engrish xD

waaay better than PARASITE imo

WHITE WORLD - almost in the same vibe as key of life but this's still great .

Maru never disappoints me with his solos *points to key of life & SMACK* . In fact my younger sister said that when she 1st heard Maru's voice , she was shocked in that he can sing very well

This album's shaping up to be AWESOME & SO F-KING GOOD , I CAN FEEL IT ! & I honestly can say that I love all the solos

that & the album tracks too

Now's to wait for the album version of White X'mas & WATER DANCE & everything will be set in stone

I honestly love everything that I heard with regards to Break the records at this point in time . Except for maybe Kimi Michi , the rest of the album's very solid & man I thought they weren't able to top things up with Queen Of Pirates

it's probably on par if not even better than QoP . I really can't wait for my copy to arrive like NOW !

WHITE WORLD - O_O;; THIS IS MARU'S BEST SOLO RELEASED ON CD YET. omg, it's so pretty! this is a really good surprise. awesome job, Nakamaru!

WIND - lolz. this is such a Junno-esque song. but if i have to put this against his other CD-released solos, this is my least favorite, sorry to say. but i will give him props for lyrics/composition. i guess you got to start somewhere.

PIERROT - *headbangs* LOL. definitely harder than "PARASITE". probably the most hard-rock song i've heard from any Johnny. i'm glad he raps in the song though. xD

jokes aside , there's no way I can rank them at all & that goes for the ones in DUES as I generally like all of them although I was (still) laughing when I heard PIERROT earlier on

cos I feel everyone in KAT-TUN can sing equally well on their own

is it a bit too early to do the whole rank album list since WATER DANCE & the album version of White X'mas are not up yet but oh whatever lol

3) Best of KAT-TUN (took me quite a while to listen/remember everything man . No joke to just put in 1 single :O)

actually, if Jin or anyone else sang "1582", i would still consider that song my favorite solo (i'm being honest here, really!). i like weird, electro-pop especially like the music in "1582". though....that song being affiliated with Kamenashi isn't that bad either. xD

i can't do album rankings just yet, despite hearing 96.2% of Break the Records. i need to spin the album with the tracklisting in order & hear a HQ rip. radio rips don't do justice, AT ALL. i grew to like "ONE DROP" by a landslide after hearing all the tiny little details i couldn't catch from the radio rip.

but right now, i think BtR & QOP are battling for the #1 position. i like the experimentalism in BtR, but QOP pretty much defines KAT-TUN.

someone on LJ told me that it's not fair to compare against QoP & Break the Records because of the fact that QoP doesn't have any solos as compared to Break the Records

maybe it's better if you compare Break the Records against cartoon KAT-TUN II you & QoP Vs Best of KAT-TUN in terms of the solos/non solos aspect of things

i don't think he's done a ballad as a solo. at least...the ones i've heard weren't ballads. it's either hip-hop or rock. my favorite Koki solo that isn't hardrock is "SHORTY" from "Live of KAT-TUN 'Real Face'" DVD. ....oh yeah, "Make U Wet" is a favorite too. LOL.

idk, i can't really imagine Koki doing a ballad...i know he can since he's a sweet guy & all, but...it would be weird, IMO. i like my gangster Koki. xD
