There was a report (not on this board) of someone who went to A-Nation '08 that said fairyland and grateful days were lip synched. If the TV broadcast was not edited, they seem that way to me too.

I belive that Ladies Night AT06 is all playback. STEP you is, as pointed, DEFINITELY. But Peco and Princess' mics have much noises in it, though

showing a lot of emotion doesnt necessarily mean its live(gotta watch the performance again to see if it has effect on her voice though), it could even be a reason for singing it playback because crying while singing = bad voice
but I never thought that performance was playback and I think nobody did, even people going to the tour said its live(SunshineSlayer I think)

^ I know, and I belive it's a good reason to sing playback (though I HATE "playback-singers" - even when it's ayu -.-' DON'T KILL ME), but it's easy to hear that her voice doesn't do as she wants it to after the more "silence" part of the song

I'm to lazy to rewatch, but I'll do now, I remember I never had the impression it was playback ,but it's a really long time since I watched it the last time, it might have been before I knew ayu sang playback at all xD(And I hate playback as well, I think there's NO GOOD reason to do it actually o.0)

EDIT: I'm 99,9 % sure its live + nobody ever reported its playback I think

I compared the TV and DVD versions, they are, unfortunatly, the same, also, her mouth looks kind of weird in both performances to me...but we can't say if it was playback or dubbed over later(but BOTH look weird, so playback is more likely)

Well, because it's the same o.0 You can't sing a song twice and have it sound exactly the same, that's not possible, you will always hear a difference between two recordings, even if they are only like 2 days away from each other or even recorded right after each other. And if theres NO difference that can mean several things:
a)both performances are playback
b)both performances have replaced vocals
c)one performance is live, the other one has replaced vocals

the last point is VERY unlikely because her mouth moves weird in both performances
so theres one thing for sure: What we hear is not what she sang on the 2 concerts the DVD was made of!

And in some concerts it actually seems like she lipped most songs (A Museum according to the DVD version I watched yesterday(wasnt able to watcvh tv yet) or PCDL(i dont hear any mic noises in the headmic songs(GREEN, WILL, vogue, HONEY, ANGEL'S SONG, Real Me, And Then..., Naturally, In The Corner...) and some songs dont even look live(HONEY xD or ANGEL'S SONG(we all know why xD))

Yeah, Miss Understood was for sure live. Never had any suspicions about that one.

Because - as those who have seen several live shows know - no song ever sounds exactly the same twice if it really is live. They can sound similar of course, but for them to be exactly the same is a very rare occurrence - I find this to be especially true for rock songs. For example, just compare the tv performances of Talkin' 2 Myself - none of them sound the same; all have at the very least, slight differences in them.

I agree that a large chunk of PCDL seems to have a high possibility of being lip synched. Just the fact that it is proven that Angel's Song and at least the one line from Over were lip synched makes whole sections of the concert look suspect. Which is unfortunate because otherwise I really love the concert. As for A-Museum, I didn't really get that impression but it has been a long time since I checked out the tv version. I would be very surprised if it was though because 2003 was actually the year where her live vocals were the most secure/stable.

I thought that it was the TV concert that was released on DVD XD

The DVD was from Taiwan, the tv version was from one of the Japan dates (Yoyogi I think.)
