If its true that they count her sales from all over asia, then that makes more sense. I'm still not sure about the validity of any of the list to start with though.

It sounds like it. Because Koda would be much closer to Ayu otherwise, since Trick sold well. Plus they are on the same label, would probably get the same income from CD sales. And Ayu's DVD releases wouldn't have created that much of a gap between the two.

But then you have to take into account both Koda and Ayu's back catalogues, which still sell.

I would have said tour sales shot Ayu up the chart, but the chart specifically says CD + DVD sales.

^ Yeah, like I said, there are other little things on the list that don't make sense either if this is going by CD sales. However, if they are counting all of Asia - several of those groups don't sell their stuff outside of Japan or at least not to the extent Ayu does so that may explain the discrepancies.

Probably not. Ayu is more involved in most stages of producing, she even is credited as producer on many releases, sure, Kuu writes lyrics and songs as well, but not to the same extend ayu does + Ayu controls EVERYTHING

this is a great news! I always love seeing Ayu's name on top!! Also great for Kuu-chan!

And I also think they included the Asia sales.

Thanks for the info!

i think they have an error with the numbers, you know the japanese usually write the number as for example 25.3万枚 which means 253.000, so i think ayu's real earnings was around 3 billion yen which is more make sense.

Most likely yes. Also this seems to be the earning from all of Asia, not just Japan which seems to make more sense as well.

^ i don't think so, 30 billion is too huge even for ayu if you look at her sales recently. besides, overseas version is much cheaper than the japanese version. i doubt it had a big contribution to ayu's earnings.

(i hope you understand, sorry for my broken english ><)

I was agreeing with you that it is probably 3 billion yen, not 30 billion.

This is supposedly only counting cd sales.
