It could be any number of reasons. Could be the director, could be Avex, could be Ayu that wanted it etc. It probably wasn't even necessary but it could just be insecurity - like girls who are incredibly skinny that always think they are fat. Same thing with all the over photoshopping we've been seeing lately. Bottom line is, they did alter the closeup shots of her compared to the shots for the rest of the video. As to why? Who knows.
polka-dot-jewel: a free extra? What kind of movie was it? Because as far as I know, all official MPAA SAG affiliated movies are required to pay their extras.
