Yawn.

This thread is boring. The same opinions crop up with every new photoshoot/album cover/video. I don't think anyone has actually thoroughly critiqued the actual point and purpose of this photoshoot: the selection of clothes and accessories.

Anyway, Delirium Zero makes the most sense to me, but only because I'm one of the few fans who separate Ayu's image from her music. For me, there is a great disparity between her music and the image I expect from the music. There are very very very few times that her image and music harmonize perfectly. The music video for M. The H covers. That's all I can think of for now. In general, I hate music videos. I think they ruin the music.

It might sound weird, but the Ayu I see in videos, concerts, photoshoots, commercials, etcetera is not the Ayu I hear in her music. They are two different people. I equally like and dislike the "image Ayu", but the "music Ayu" has already been sealed inside my heart. She is irreplaceable. Even if the idea of Ayu is built on both image and music, I couldn't care less. For me, her music trumps everything else she does. In my universe, her image is nothing but an extra feature, unnecessary to her music, but enjoyable if it's good.

Only Madonna is able to harmonize her image and music. Her image is her music and her music is her image. Lady GaGa has the potential to do the same.

I agree that Ayu's image and music are completely two different things. So different that they don't quite match together. That being said, I don't like her current image and I don't like her current music either.

I really liked her image before along with her music. Her looks, clothes and even the way she posed was so intriguing and eye-popping. She was interesting, special, unique and different. Completely different from her music that was catchy, sometimes really dark (lyrics wise) but sometimes really soothing. There was no connections between her outfits and say the song SEASONS when she performed the song. But her look was easy on my eyes and the music was simple wonderful.

Now is just so hard not to complain about her image. And her music has become to bland...

I understand that the point of this photoshoot is the clothes and the accessories. But it's just so hard to focus on those things when it looks like Ayu isn't even taking this photoshoot seriously. This is why I prefer real models for fashion photoshoots instead of celebrities. And honestly, the stylists are to be blamed too because her hair looks awful.

about the nose job you guys talking about.. couple weeks is NOT enough for the recovery. My aunt has her nose done last year, all the swelling.. it needs months for you to look normal again! so I don't think she had done a surgery.. maybe just some botox shot or whatever it is.. but not a surgery

3 weeks is more than enough for some... I've had a friend do it and was there with her when it healed. Also I've seen girls talk about their healing process on forums, so it really varies. I guess it depends what type of surgery she got, I know soft tissue and cartilage takes faster to heal, while major bone operation takes longer. Also there will be swelling for months to a year after, but the overall shape is not that much larger because the nose was made smaller.

Anyway I will completely shut up about nose jobs because to quote someone "Octolina, you seem to be obsessed with noses."

I normally love Sweet fashion, but the outfits here are just....not good. They try to accessorize, but the colors just make her look really washed out (especially coupled with the really nude makeup and the haircolor). I dunno, her facial expressions are actually not what really bothers me, it's the clothes. (granted, not really her fault but I hope the stuff she's wearing is not an indication of fall fashion 2009...)

Seriously.. it's like.. "We give her different clothes, different hair styles, and let her make the same dead-fish-face at all pictures"

Where has her make-up gone? Her emotions? Her expressions? I don't understand they ever released this, I don't even understand that they took this photoshoot.. I mean, some make-up could have done sooo much.. and some emotions..

I don't know... I think she's kinda cute in here.
Sure, she does looks different, I think it's the makeup with the hair.
But she always so awsome in magazines. I love her photoshoots. <3

Good point. She's pointed this out herself too, right? Like in the Duty PV. Personally, I like "both" Ayus.

Anyways, yeah, she looks different but I guess that was the point of the photoshoot? Like some kind of doll concept.

She looks "unalive" and I don't know id it's just me, but her eyes look a little odd..and scary. Overall, I don't kknow, it looks like she's trying too hard?

i quite like it...i think most people in this thread missed the point. its obvious she meant to use the same expression in each photo.
